Forensic Pathologist The first careers that I’m going to be discussing is a forensic pathologist, which is actually something that I intend to pursue after school. A forensic pathologist is someone who perform autopsies and determine the cause and the manner of a death, disease, or injury to people who die unexpectedly, suddenly, or violently. They also determine whether the death is a homicide, suicide, accidental, natural or unknown(forensicscolleges.com). Forensic Pathologists are educated as physicians and licensed to practice medicine in the state that they are employed(explorehealthcareers.org). They have to be certified by the ABP with a subspecialty in forensic pathology. Getting certified can take between four and five years.
¨Mr. Green committed murder in the pub with a bottle¨. If you like to solve mysteries, then you might find this sentence familiar. I always liked to play the game Clue because I get to solve mysteries. I want to be able to use my talent of solving mysteries in a career, and becoming a forensic scientist seems to be the perfect choice. After researching important information , such as the work environment skills required, the level of education needed, the salary and job outlook, I find myself to be highly qualified for an upcoming career in forensic science.
Every human being on this earth has had different predicaments that have occurred in their life. All in which, have modified their perspective on ideas, future decisions, or past experiences. The lessons that life throws at you teaches you who you are and reminds you where you come from. My experiences have taught me to enjoy the advantages I have in life and to establish my dreams because my parents immigrated here from Mexico earning their residency, just so my siblings and I can have a chance at a good life. Since my parents gave me a chance to dream and make it real than that’s what i will do.
Well I want to become a TBI forensic technician to help bring precision in evidence and tranquility to the public. I want to make sure that with the evidence I collect and process for the state is nonbias. I know evidence collections are one of the most vital aspects in building a strong criminal case against a defendant. Being able to work for one of three state labs, would be an honor. From an early age, I knew I wanted to be part of the criminal justice system. One of the main reasons I chose that field of career was because due to the mistrust in law enforcement. While attending college at the University of Tennessee at Martin, I was offered a great opportunity to become one of the graduating class of the renowned National Forensic Academy
My sophomore year in high school is what made me serious about pursuing this career. I had thoughts about forensic science before then, but it furthered my love for science. Growing up watching crime solving shows also played part in why I want to pursue a career as a forensic scientist. My senior year in highschool I took a forensic science class, and that is what made me sure that was the career I wanted. I think that it is truly interesting, and I enjoy it.
The career that I researched was forensic pathology. The job of a pathologist is to determine a person’s cause of death by examining tissues and fluids from the body. A forensic pathologist does this as well, but they are trained to examine people who died unexpectedly or violently and to recognize other things that a regular pathologist might not, such as recognizing something as intentional rather than accidental. They have to determine who the person is, the time of death, the manner of death, and if it was accidental, the instruments which caused the death.
The career of forensic science is an interesting career, because of the different investigations and helping people solve different crime cases . The research will describe the career of crime scene investigation, what is required to become a successful in this career is being able to analyze crimes find evidence at the crime scene and have strong speaking and writing skills .In this type of field, you will gather information about the document, or analyze the evidence like fingerprints, blood, hair, and bullets. Crime scene investigators are needed to identify the dead using information collected. In the field you would generally secure the place, all evidence from the scene.
On the day we moved to America, my mother asked me, “Child, what do you want to become when you grow up?” The only answer that came to mind was becoming a doctor, probably because I had always been interested in science. The idea of saving or changing lives in anyway possible was a dream come true. Eleven years later, I realize that coming to America from Djibouti was the best thing in my life because I would never have had the opportunity or means that I now have to pursue my dreams. Become a forensic medical examiner combines two of my passions, science and police work. A forensic medical examiner not only helps the police find clues to solve crimes, but they also determine the cause of death and what weapon the killer uses. My path to becoming
My plan after high school graduation, I am going to a 4 year college university, to major in Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice. The specific field that I want to do is to be a Forensic Pathologist, they are medical, licensed and certified doctors who examine and conducts tests on dead bodies to see whether that particular person died from natural causes or unnatural causes, such as taking by possession or being shot or stabbed.
Forensic science is the use of scientific knowledge and technology to help solve criminal investigations, and provide evidence that is used in a trial. Any person who helps a lawyer or any kind of law enforcement by testing physical evidence is known as a forensic scientist (Frith 4). Forensic scientist can also be known as forensic science technicians, crime lab analyst, or other titles that may reflect a specific area (Echaore-McDavid and McDavid 28). People who are forensic scientists deal with gruesome scenes on a daily basis, and are at a higher risk of depression than most. Most people in this field love the thrill of solving crimes and catching criminals.
In four years I want to be happy. I don't want to be stressed out about whats going to happen. I want to be prepared.
I have chosen to do the Early College Program to save money and prepare me for when I go off to study my major. I aspire to be a Forensic Pathologist which requires 15 years plus of schooling. Schooling that will require a lot of money and hard-work.
On Tuesday, fans said goodbye to “Bones.” Twelve seasons, two hundred forty-six episodes, and numerous crimes solved, I had to say goodbye to not only my favorite TV series but a huge part of my life.
I am still undecided on what career pathway I want to take. Both jobs seem so great to me and it is a tough decision for me to make alone on just this research. In the upcoming weeks I am going to be doing a ride along with the Augusta County Sheriff's Office and I think that will help me with my decision by getting first hand experience of their job. Dr. Boyd said that I should come by for a college visit when I get the chance and I think that it would be great to talk to her and go more in depth into what it is really like in the field of forensic anthropology. Both jobs have good things I like and dislike. I like that detectives are always busy but I wish they earned more money. I like the field work that forensic anthropologists do but
Every few seconds a new crime is being committed. More often than not, when people think of who solves these crimes, the first thing that comes to mind is detectives. However, when it crosses my mind, I automatically think of a forensic scientist and all the work they do that leads to putting the culprit away. Forensic science, by definition, is the scientific tests or techniques used in the investigation of crimes. All of the collecting and analyzing of the evidence can be done because of forensic science. To me, forensics are the most important element of crime solving, and that is why I wish to pursue a career in forensics. Every single aspect of forensic science captivates me.
I first wanted to become a medical examiner when I Started watching a TV series called bones. The way they could catch a killer by just looking a body or bones amazed me how they did it of course the main character wasn't a medical examiner, but a forensic anthropologist but I researched on-line and at the local library on anthropology and found some books on pathological science. Pathology is the branch of medicine that helps run laboratory examination of body tissue.Which is needed in medical examination.
