Change is always a good thing and it will improve you as a person. The cause may not be a good but the effect you get in return will change you for the better.. In “A Christmas Carol” Scrooge improved his life by changing in many ways.
Scrooge changed in many different ways. One way Scrooge changed was by being giving. When the ghost of Christmas past, present, and future visited Scrooge he was a sting man. He gave his workers as little as he could and he didn't give anything to charity. After the spirits visited him he was a giving man. He treated his workers kindly and gave them the money they deserved. He showed people he cared and he had a heart. In those ways, Scrooge changed from a stingy old man to a kind giving and understanding man.
The change begins when the Ghost of Christmas Past visits Scrooge. In this section of the play the Ghost of Christmas past took Scrooge to the place where Scrooge grew up. (683) Scrooge began to cry at the scene of his childhood. The Ghost said, “Your lip is trembling, Mr. Scrooge. And what is that upon your cheek?” Scrooge said, “Nothing… a blemish on the skin… lead me where you will, but quickly! To be stagnant in this place is, for me, unbearable!” From Scrooge crying it shows that Scrooge saw something from his past that he did not wish to remember. He also cried, which is the first bit of emotion and or feelings he had shown in a very long time. Scrooge was also shown him as a boy sitting alone in a school room. Scrooge began to sob at the sight. Scrooge said, (688) “...poor boy. He lived inside his head… alone… [weeps]... I wish…
Change is good because it helps transform your thoughts and how you grow up.Change helps you change your personality for the better. In Scrooge in Marley Scrooge is shown flashbacks that change on how he thinks and he personality traits to become a better person.Scrooge character traits changed for the good by becoming loving thankful and caring.
Title: Change in A Christmas carol Change can either be good or bad depending on what the change is. In Scrooge And Marley: A Christmas carol, Scrooge is sent three ghosts from Jacob Marley that helps him change. After being reformed by the spirits of Christmas Scrooge becomes friendly, nice, generous, considerate, and an all around great person. First, The Ghost of Christmas Present retaught Scrooge the generosity and respect he had to know long ago. The spirit had shown Scrooge when his old boss Fizziwig through an enormous party.
One of the two main ways Scrooge changed in the play is that he became like the other people around him, and embraced Christmas spirit. He did that by being kind to others and actually enjoying his time with them. For example, in the play, Scrooge says, "It's Christmas Day, is it? Whoop!" (2.5.299).
The final thing for this was that it was a greater change for Scrooge; because he was in-fact an harsh man until he encountered the good-side of Christmas.
The change we see was from Scrooge’s original gloomy, bad-attitude self
Change molds us in life and makes a deciding impact in our future. In A Christmas Carol, three spirits visit Scrooge for the better. Scrooge’s character transforms to be grateful, generous, and kind.
So he begs the ghost of christmas future to change his life, that he won't die young. He told the ghost of christmas future that he will put christmas in his heart. To sum it all up, scrooge's final transformation is that he changed his whole life around, that there was still hope for him out there wanting to be
Scrooge has changed because at first he was this really grumpy man who didn't like Christmas to being this kind man who started to like Christmas all over again and started being really kind to the town people.
But, as I know your promise is to do me good, and as I hope to live to be another man from what I was, I am prepared to bear you company, and do it with a thankful heart” (Dickens, 51). If it was not for the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come, Scrooge would not have turned out to be the kindest man and Tiny Tim would have probably not lived. Now Scrooge is transformed into a new man and will never be a hateful, rude, cold-hearted, and covetous person ever
John F. Kennedy once said, “Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.” This means that if you just let the world pass you by then the past is ruined then the future will be the same until you choose to change it. In the play A Christmas Carol By: Charles Dickens, the main character Ebenezer Scrooge was looking in the past at how he had love his sister, and finds out that he can be caring. He just had to try to be nice by changing the way that he spoke and acted. In the beginning Scrooge was a mean and selfish old man and in the end Scrooge became a nice, giving and changed man.
He was more emotional/sympathetic as well because he saw himself as a hurting young boy. This caused Scrooge to be more open to listening/trusting what the ghosts had to say.
So people have been given the chance to change but some don’t change, example in Christmas Carol Scrooge changes he becomes giving instead of grochey. So if Mr. Scrooge can change then I think everyone can change for the better. Because everyone is capable of changing they just need to try. Some people try but they are worried about change. Some people don’t really care they just want to become a better person.
Scrooge began his transformation into a good man when the Ghost of Christmas present shows him the Cratchit household. Scrooge throughout this scene is presented with the consequences of his actions and how they affect those who are less fortunate than he. “Think of that. Bob had but fifteen bob a-week himself; he pocketed on Saturdays but fifteen copies of his Christian name; and yet the Ghost of
All of this shows that Scrooge definitely changed his life for the
