1. Introduction

This is a communication change plan for Holcim New Zealand. It identifies major internal stakeholders affected by upcoming organisational changes. A range of strategies of effective organisational communication are outlined to meet the communication and business objectives of the organisation.
1.1. Organisation

Holcim New Zealand Limited is a leading supplier of cement, aggregates and ready mixed concrete in New Zealand. Its involvement in the New Zealand building industry dates back to 1888. It is part of the regional Holcim Australia/New Zealand business and the global LafargeHolcim Group, the world 's leading supplier of cement, aggregates and construction-related services represented in 90 countries on all continents. The Group has 115,000 employees around the world and combined net sales of 33 billion in 2014 (Holcim,2015).
1.2. Background
Holcim New Zealand are moving from their current base at Onehunga Port Auckland and will construct a new 28 metre dome-shaped cement silo on the Port lands in Downtown Auckland. A new terminal in Timaru PrimePort is also going to replace the Westport cement plant.
The decision to move the Auckland branch from the Manukau Harbour is because the harbour is too shallow to accommodate larger ships to import cement from late 2016. The Timaru terminal will be able to provide more effective access to the major market of Christchurch. The closure of the Westport plant will mean a loss of approximately 100 employment
