Additionally, Harry is favored by the head of his house, Professor McGonagall. Likewise, Draco is accompanied by a recognizable pair of friends throughout his Hogwarts years. He is also a seeker on the Slytherin quidditch team, and certainly favored by the head of his house, Professor Snape.
With the importance of family being one of the central themes of the series, many of the characters are very dedicated to their families.. Both Harry and Draco have a high regard for their family, whether it be their blood relatives, or simply the people they love. Harry has a strong passion for his friends and family, and will do anything to protect them. Seeing harm come to the ones he loves destroys him. It is clear to see that much of what Harry does is driven by his love for his family, and his desire for them to be safe and happy. Towards the end of the series, Harry pursues a relationship with Ginny, and we eventually see that he forms a family of his own. Similarly, Draco is driven by his desire to please and protect his family. He deeply longs for his father to be proud of him, and recognize his accomplishments. And when things intensify later in the series as Voldemort rises to power, Draco makes several hard choices in order to keep his family safe. And eventually, just as Harry did, Draco marries a girl, Astoria, and starts a family of his own.
Each character within the series has a unique role,

The Harry Potter novels by J.K. Rowling are a well known and highly celebrated series. In the first novel, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the audience is introduced to the main character, Harry. Harry is an embodiment of many common themes and devices in literature. However, Rowling manages to employ these literary tropes while creating a story entirely different from any other. The novel Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone provides an example of how to effectively utilize common literary motifs and archetypes without being cliché.
In The Book Thief, many people made very strong bonds with each other and became like family. One of the most important themes is this novel is always love and care for each other. This novel didn’t just say that family is who people are born to. It says that family is through love, concern, and compassion that people have for someone. In The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, family is a largely portrayed theme as characters build strong and enduring relationships.
I believe family is such an important part in this family’s life because they are all that each other has got. They hold close to their family because they have been through so much and they see death all around them, so they see the importance of their family. They also are taught from a very young age to respect their elders in the family because they have seen much more and know much more about all aspects of life. They are viewed as wise and knowledgeable and the young family members cherish the opportunity to learn from them. In the movie Gran Torino one
Harry Potter is a fictional character invented by J.K Rowling in the series of seven books starting with Harry Potter and the Philosopher 's Stone and ending with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Wikipedia, 2015). Harry is the main character in this series whose parents died when he was young and he was brought up by his aunt and uncle (Philosopher’s Stone, 1997, p.5). Harry was neglected by his aunt and uncle (Philosopher’s Stone, 1997, p.27). Harry is presented a whole new reality when he goes to the zoo one day and his integration into the magical world changes him from the foundation. These changes within him will be analysed using the developmental psychology theories of Lawrence Kohlberg and Erik Erikson to explain how the environment aided or obstructed Harry’s development.
Another strong theme from the book is the importance of family bonds, especially if that’s
Families can mean a lot of different things to different people. For some family is everything, just knowing that someone is there for you during a personal crisis to help you and provide you with love is comforting. However, at the same time a family can be heartless and relentless providing you with no comfort, instead just pain and misery. We all can agree that families shape our development and how we view the world. From childhood our thoughts and actions are shaped based on experiences from a sibling or parent that went through them. However, the influence of a family could be positive or negative, whether it is showing us the right side or perhaps making the same mistakes. In literature many writers have been influenced by their families two great examples are “A Brother’s Murder” by Brent Staples and “My father’s Life” by Raymond Carver, both writers express in great detail how families have shaped and affected them as individuals.

Is family important to you? Are they with you through your life? Do they make you laugh and happy? Well the place in the book is a mess. The government is corrupted and the people were not fair. The rich were separated to a different part of the city away from the poor. Families were lost and abused like Day’s. In the Legend series, Marie Lu illustrates the theme that family is important to happiness through Day’s actions, Day’s symbolism and Day’s dialogue.
All this has added to the growing popularity of the Harry Potter brand that is everywhere today. Young readers can relate to Harry’s issues and the books create another world the readers can subconsciously ‘escape’ too.
It connects characters reuniting with family to stability and happiness (as in Pinocchio and Cinderella, Finding Nemo).
I 'm doing it because – I don 't reckon my dad would 've wanted them to become killers – just for you." (Rowling) Harry’s quote shows Harry has really matured and wants to do what’s right. Harry also shows maturity that he doesn 't want anyone other than Voldemort to die. In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry’s quest is to discover Voldemort’s path by looking through the Pensieve and discovers Voldemort put his soul in things called Horcruxes. Harry must also accompany Albus Dumbledore to destroy one of Voldemort’s Horcruxes in the caves. After they get to the caves Harry must save Dumbledore’s life after he drinks poison. Harry must then fight Severus Snape after he “kills” Dumbledore. Harry believes he needs to kill Voldemort,"I am the Chosen One. I have to kill him. I need that memory." (Rowling). From books 1-6 Harry grows a lot to discover what he needs to do and why he needs to do it. In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Harry’s quest is to escape the Death Eaters and destroy Voldemort’s Horcruxes. Voldemort calls to Harry and Harry realizes he is a Horcrux so he must accept death. Voldemort shouts Harry Potter is dead in front of everyone at Hogwarts. Harry springs up and attacks Voldemort. The final battle starts. Harry’s main goal is to face Voldemort and kill Voldemort’s snake, Nagini. While Harry is fighting Voldemort, Neville Longbottom kills the
