Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin in a Moon simulationLighting
In the photos taken on the moon, theorists claim that the lighting in the pictures is incorrect and that it could only be achieved by multiple light sources like you would get on a film set which led them to believe than the photos were taken on earth.
In the photo of Buzz Aldrin where he is descending from the lunar module tot he moons surface he looks to be far to illuminated if you consider the shadow cast by the lunar module which leads conspiracy theorist to claim that Buzz Aldrin being lit like that could only be achieved through studio lights since on the moon there is only one light source, the sun.
Conspiracy theorist are correct when they say an artificial light source caused Buzz Aldrin’s suit to illuminate, however it is not studio lights causing it, but Neil Armstrong. The sun is directly behind the lunar module in this photo and standing away from the the lunar module is Astronaut Neil Armstrong who's reflective white space suit lit up Buzz Aldrin's suit this is because the space suits the astronauts wore during apollo 11 reflected up to 85% of the light that strikes them.
The Flag
People believe that the American flag moving on the recordings from Apollo 11 is proof that the moon landing was faked. In the recording of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin planting the American flag into the ground, the flag looks like it’s flapping in a breeze but since there is no atmosphere on the moon there’s no
John F. Kennedy once said, "No nation which expects to be the leader of other nations can expect to stay behind in this race for space...We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard”. The main motive for this quote was to ensure that the United States wanted to beat out the Soviets in the space race. Ever since the Soviets tried to advance on the moon, the United States wanted to be the first successful nation to accomplish the first ever moon landing. At the time, the tension between the United States and the Soviets was very strong because the Cold War just ended and neither nation wanted to lose to each other in the space race. Just as the
One of the most patriotic moments in United States history was an American stepping foot on the Moon. It came at a time when the U.S. was involved in the Cold War, bringing joy to the entire country. It was a task that took years of failure and hard work to accomplish. The moon landing helped elevate the status of the United States as a country trying to catch up to the Soviet Union in the race of space advancement. However, this accomplishment has been diminished by many who have claimed it be staged. Two of them are Bill Kaysing, who published a book detailing the hoax in 1976, and Bart Sibrel, who published a documentary in 2001.
Also people say the first images from the 1969 Apollo 11 landing were fuzzy so the moon landing might of been faked. in the article “Did NASA fake the moon landing” It states “A key problem with a matte box is that shadows would have noticeably changed direction, shifting from west to east as the Sun moved across the sky during the hours of filming. The Sun moves 15° per hour across Earth's sky, but 13° per day across the Moon's” ( Villard 48). This is important because the images were funny but when the they took the pictures the matte box shadows changed direction and the sun moved across the sky when the
The last and most obvious reason why the moon landing was fake is shown in another photo of mysterious lights illuminating the sky. It wasn’t a star. This proves the moon landing was faked because it isn’t regualr for bright lights to magically appear in space unless it’s a star, which it’s not. It has been said that the mysterious lights were actually studio lights from a production set, which means the entire moon landing was instead, a photoshoot.
Many people believe the moon landing never happened. The number one belief is that the photographic evidence is fake. The astronauts took thousands of pictures, each one perfectly exposed and sharply focused. Not one was badly composed or even blurred. In particular, there is one photo that is often mentioned, the photo of Neil Armstrong putting the American flag into the moon. The strange thing about this photo is that the flag is waving like it’s in the wind. “The obvious problem here is that there’s no air in the moon’s atmosphere, and therefore no wind to cause the flag to blow.” (Josh Fox, 2012). Theorists state that since the moon has no atmosphere, so if it was really on the moon there is no way the flag couldn't be waving
Conspiracy theories are everywhere. It seems that for every event in to have taken place in history, there is a group of individuals saying that it is a government conspiracy. There are conspiracy theories regarding the 9/11 attacks, presidential assassinations, Area 51, Jimmy Hoffa, the English crown and Elvis. The list is endless. In this paper we are going to discuss the moon landing conspiracy. Apparently there are people who believe the entire moon landing was a hoax. They believe that we did not actually land on the moon, but produced the event in a movie studio so that we would be able to beat Russia in the great “Space Race”. These people have taken all the evidence from the moon landing and analyzed ever aspect and tried to
Was the moon landing a hoax? Why was America able to go in the 1900s but not today? There are many reasons why the moon landing was faked. Some reasons and examples the moon landing was a hoax are the Van Allen Radiation Belt or the ‘C’ rock. These reasons are proven by a number of sites and people. Most of the facts go against NASA and the “real moon landing”.

Many accomplishments throughout the years, in the United States have formed our country to a nationalist society. On July 20th, 1969, the Mission Control Center in Houston, Texas received the call, “Houston”, which confirmed the landing of these three astronauts on the moon. Recently though, many discussions of the Apollo 11 mission have astonished thoughts of many Americans. Conspiracy theorists are looking at the Moon Landing as a hoax and one big set up that Americans were fooled into believing actually happened. In 1974, Bill Kasying wrote a book entitled We Never Went to the Moon:
This is just one example of the moon landing being a hoax. They used the same backdrop for different photos that were supposed to be in different areas of the moon. NASA claims that the only light source for taking the photographs was the sun. One example of such a photo, is of Armstrong and Aldrin planting the flag. If the photo was taken by using only the light of the sun for a light source, then why is Aldrin’s shadow longer than Armstrong’s shadow? If the sun was the only source for light then the shadows should not have been so unequal (Overstreet). Why did so many NASA Moonscape photos have non parallel shadows? Skeptics will tell you because there is two sources of light on the Moon, which is the Sun and the Earth. That maybe the case, but the shadows would still fall in the same direction, not two or three different angles and Earth shine would have no effect during the bright lunar day which was the time at which the Apollo was on the Moon.
It wasn 't until I really sat down and thought about it that I realized the moon landing was questionable. As a kid I always thought it would be amazing to be an astronaut so the thought that maybe there is no real astronauts at all had me concerned. On July 20th 1969, the Apollo 11 with astronaut Neil Armstrong and his crew, guided by thousands of NASA technicians, supposedly landed in the surface of the moon. This landing at its time was considered the most amazing technological advancement in the history of mankind. The moon landing is something that everyone knows about but as it turns out about 20% americans and 50% or Ukrainians don 't believe the moon landing really happened, here 's why.
There is physical evidence that can prove on how the moon landing is a hoax. One of the popular evidences that it is a hoax is that in the videos and pictures of the men on the moon, in the distance of space there is absolutely no stars in sight. “The photographs on the moon don't show any stars in the sky,” (5 Goofy Moon landing Hoax Theories, 2017 p.30). That is why a lot of people believed this was faked and filmed in a studio. The second piece of physical evidence is how when they stuck the American flag in the ground it was waving like there is wind in space. “There's no wind on the moon, so how come the flag was blowing in a breeze?” (5 Goofy Moon landing Hoax Theories, 2017 p.30). On the moon there is no atmosphere like here on earth so there can't be any reasonable explanation as to why the flags moving but NASA has tried. The final part of my physical evidence is one of the most famous. In a picture from the astronauts there is a moon rock
One of the key pieces of evidence of the moon landing is photo evidence. Numerous photos as well as video have been released and seen by the public. One of the
The "Moon Hoax" has been around since 1835, when the New York Sun printed an article about this whole ordeal. The New York Sun used and credited Sir John Herschel, who was a British Astronomer. Herschel claimed that he had tried out a new type of telescope on the Cape of Good Hope in January of 1834. While in Cape Town, he said he'd set up an Observatory. Using this, he claimed to have observed what he thought of as the "Real" Moon. He claimed to have seen vegetation, bodies of water, and living creatures. He also said he had seen "Bat People" who were described as being furry winged men. This took the People at a shock, and the "Evidence" and science astounded them. So many began to believe this is true.
Now, do you need anymore evidence on how the moon landing was hoax, maybe from a source you can trust? Well you can find that source at science.howstuffworks.com. In the article, “Why do some people believe the moon landings were a hoax?” you can find the evidence. This article resembles that of what was stated in the last paragraph. Some topics reasons are the same as well. A new one is the difference in shadow lengths. “Some people point out that some of the shadows given off by the
