A crime against public morals Crimes against morals there are so many where to start. The issues are most crimes against public morals are set by the church and ethics of the community normally. The question is with all of the separation between church and state, of the times we live in. This day and age, many people wish to be free from government and church influence. The United States is the land of the free and the home of the brave as the song says, then why are there some many laws of control. The moral laws on the books are for public interest only many are not really even enforced. The one law I can justly say that the government really should remove is Prostitution is one of the oldest professions in the world. The world’s oldest profession, prostitution is quite simply the exchange of sex for money or property (commercial gain). Either soliciting or engaging in prostitution is a crime (Wallace, 2012). Every country has its issues with it, however many countries have legalized it even a few states in controlled environments’. The state of Nevada has legal brothels over 500 females work at over 30 brothels they were surveyed by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas have been conducting research in these brothels for more than 15 years and pretty close every year with the same results. Between 80 to 90 percent over 15 years feel safer than when they were street walkers. The state gets their money and in Nevada makes roughly 500,000 off of the legal brothels a year,
