It had been a fairly, nice day. Work wasn’t to bad. My boss wasn’t on my tail for not getting him a paper on time. It was supper time when I got home. The food was already set out and the kids at the table when I walked in the door. Jane, 9 years old, had a book in her hand like normal. Billy, 4 years old, sat there picking at his scab. My husband came in with the last plate. Jason had been out of a job for 9 months now, so he was the stay at home mom for a little while. I set my bag down on our wooden table right beside the door. I walked over to the table said hi down and went to finish helping my husband. When we were finished, I sat down to look all of my wonderful family in the eye and see that today was a good day.
When supper was over, we sent the kids to go brush their teeth like we do every time after dinner. I was helping my husband with the dishes after dinner. When we were done, the kids were in bed and we had to go and tuck them in. We went and tucked Jane in. She was going to read a little before she completely went to sleep. Jason, my Husband, left the room when he was done to use the restroom. I then went to Billy’s room to tuck him in. I sat down on the edge of the bed.
I said, “How was today?”
Billy replied, “It was fun. We did a lot of coloring. I colored a huge bear.”
“Good I am glad you had fun with coloring.” I said.
“Mommy?” Billy said.
I said, “Yes.” Billy was now looking at the ceiling and pondering what he was going to say to me. Billy

Get AccessAfter a short ten-minute walk home from school, when I finally arrived at my house, I flopped onto the couch. It was a Friday afternoon, and I was ready for the football game that night, and for the weekend to begin. My mom was sitting on the couch across from me and asked me how my day at school was. I described to her what had happened that day, and the stuff we did in my classes. As we get done talking about school, she inquired
The morning was foggy and I could see the front of my school through my window. It was a nice sight to see. I walked into the kitchen to make myself a bowl of cereal and there she was with her head down on the table. I could tell that she arrived a couple of hours ago because the tears hadn’t dried from her cheeks yet. I got myself ready gave her a kiss on her forehead and headed off to school. I had walked into class eager to see what my teacher Mrs. Padron had in store for today. Every single day there was something new to learn and there’s something about that infinite nature of learning that really appealed to me as a child. I cherished those 7 hours I spent in class the most I could and I dreaded the mere thought of having to go home where I would have to face the
The next day was Monday and he had to go to school. After he got to school he could only make it a half a day and he usually stays there longer but today changed his life, my whole family’s life, and mine! My mom told my brother that they were going to go to the Emergency room. My mom left work and took him to the hospital. I was at my cousin 's house because I always went there after school. After they got to the hospital the doctors asked if she would let Josh have a cat scan. My mom said,” Why, is he okay, is something wrong?!?” The doctor said,” I don’t know,” but my mom was still worried.
One beautiful Monday morning, everything was calm (for now). I woke up very fresh, excited, and ready to go to school! It was a nice and sunny day, the best way to start a week. I woke up at 6:00 a.m and had a lot of time to get ready for the school day. After that I wore my clothes, did my hair, and brushed My teeth. Next, I had breakfast that included cereal, milk, and apple juice. My sister and I went outside and saw that my dad was waiting for us to get in the car, so that he can take us to school.
On Saturday I woke up around 7:00 I lay in bed and read for a little bit and then I got up and started my chores. (My dad went to work while I was doing my chores) When I had two to go we had breakfast (biscuits) and watched a doctor who. Then I finished my chores and packed to go to my grandma’s house for a sleepover. After I had finished packing I started coloring with my mom and my brother. Then my grandma came and we put away our colors and then we packed the car and headed to the grocery store to drop my mom off so she could get groceries. We had to go with her so we did and I pushed the cart while my grandma went and did something. Then my grandma came and we dropped my mom off back at our house and went with our grandma for a sleepover. First we had lunch there then my brother and I had to pick up the sticks if we wanted a popsicle. When we finished we got the popsicle and played until bedtime which was at 9:30. I stayed awake reading until I finally fell asleep. It was a big day.
It was a beautiful summer day.The sweet smell of sunflowers blooming through our backyard was similar to the smell of honey. There were so many different types of birds and insects flying around me that I never even knew existed. With water balloons flying around my sister and I, we heard a holler from my mom, “Let’s go, we need to go to Costco!” at the sound of my mom’s voice mentioning Costco my sister and I dropped our water balloons, cleaned the mess as fast as we could. We ran inside, as fast as a race car driver, gulping down the glass of milk my mom neatly placed on the table. With white mustaches we stood next my mom’s silver toyota camry, ready to go. As my mom finished the last of the dishes, we strapped on our seat belts over the booster seat and went to our favorite store.
After swapping spit with Shay, I got up and collected a few of my things to take over to the new house. When my bag was packed, I cut the light off in the bedroom and waited for Shay to make us both a drink before we headed out the door. Before I buckled up in the van, I took my cell phone out of my purse and dialed my mother’s cell phone number. When she answered, I asked, “Are you home?” “Yeah, are you coming over?” “Yes ma’am, I am. I was just making sure that someone was home.” “We’re all here, I’m cooking now because I may go to the bingo hall, but Lester and Imani will be here.”
It was 6:25 AM and I was beginning to wake up. I was on my top bunk of our bunk bed and I said to myself I feel like doing something to get me in trouble. I crawled out of my sheets trying not to hit my head on the ceiling fan. I jumped off the stairs of the bunk bed onto the old wooden floor. On impact I heard my sister say i’m hungry from her little princess bed. My sister Izzy and I walked in to the kitten for a meal. She got a tortilla, cold hotdog, and a dill pickle. I went for a peanut and butter jelly sandwich. After breakfast, I went outside to feed the 4 dogs we had. But be for I did I got my sandals. I opened the back door leading to the fresh morning air. I hoped down from the cement stairs onto the cold moist grass. With every step
One beautiful Saturday morning, I woke excited about going to Delaware County Fair as if I was the same age as my young daughter. The day was looking beautiful, as the weather was like a typical fall morning. The breeze I could hear through the window; I felt like this was the perfect day to go to the fair. I opened the door of my daughter’s room to wake them up; I turned on the lights and yelled “It’s morning.” My oldest daughter looked at me with one eye half way open and said “It is not morning.” The sky was still dark as it was a cloudy morning. I told her “We have to go to the fair early so we can stay there all day.” They both jump on me giving me hangs and kisses, as this was the first time they went a fair.
Getting out of mom’s Ford Ranger, I close the door a bit too heavy handed. When it slams forcefully, I cringe as I move toward the house. I am extra tired tonight after pulling double shift at the Inferno Recycling Center. It’s getting old that I always seem to be the one covering Chelsea’s shifts. This is the third time she has called in sick this week. There being virtually no other jobs in town, I have no choice then to suck it up. I was going to College to become a Special Effects Make-Up Artist. Since momma became sick three months ago, the only option I had was to drop out. There is no one else who can care for her except me. My beloved brother Eli died in a motorcycle accident nine years ago. He was twenty at the time. It was my eighth birthday the
I heard the door come open. I saw my mother and my father come in the house. I listened to the sound of their shoes make a tapping noise until they got into the living room. My mom asked me how my brother acted. I said that Brennan was okay, but he tried to keep himself awake. I told her that he had finally went to sleep. Then, she asked me if I had fun on my first day babysitting. I told her I did, but it was very exhausting. I was really exhausted, but I had fun with my little brother. I think I had more fun than I thought I would ever have. For my first day babysitting, my parents told me I did a good job. Since I did a good job, my parents, my brother, and I went get ice

Waking up that cool spring morning and remembering what day it was, I jumped out of bed excitedly. I ran down the stairs to pack my lunch for the day, I thought was going to be amazing, after I finished my lunch I go and get dressed. It was supposed to be a warm spring day so I dressed according to the weather. After I got dressed, ate my breakfast, did my hair, and brushed my teeth, I ran to the car and jumped in. My Mom drove me to school and dropped me off saying “I love you and have a good day!” I said back, “Bye Mom, I love you too!” I quickly walked up to the school and seeing my friends all standing in the gym I ran up to them greeting them and all talking about how great the day would be! They told us to partner up for the bus ride
It was the final night of the camping trip. My family had come to the woods, and having spent two days toughing it out in a tent, we decided to treat ourselves and stay in a cabin. The day was well spent and included fishing, roasting marshmallows, and playing games with my mom, dad, and little sister, Payton. Understandably, all four of us were exhausted. Things started to go wrong when I entered the cabin bedroom.
