My eyes suddenly popped open. I looked to my right to see what time it was, 9:30 AM. “Perfect!” I yelled. I jumped out of bed with a smile from cheek to cheek. I could not contain myself anymore. I had been waiting for 25 days, and it was finally here! Today was Christmas, a day filled with lots of food and mountains of presents! I ran downstairs as fast as I could, almost fell because I about tripped. I rounded the corner and stood in awe. There before me, stood present after present after present; each one wrapped in a different color, ranging in size, and bows mounted on top. There must be close to 60 presents! Well, when you are rich, you can afford this. I dove straight in, heading for the biggest present that I could find. I was so ecstatic that I missed my parents telling me “Merry Christmas”. I did not care though; all I cared about was what was under the wrapping paper.
3 Hours Later Our living room lay in ruins, similar to the aftermath of a tornado. There were boxes piled up in the corner, wrapping paper thrown everywhere, and a huge pile of toys lying in front of me. “Matthew, we have one last surprise for you. Are you ready?” my parents said. “What is it? What is it?” “We are going to go on an African Safari! We’ll be able to see zebras, giraffes, and lions! Aren’t you exci—” “What!?
