The definition of home is a subjective topic that I will only be able to touch the rim of for the word goes far beyond what is written. Home can be a lot of different things. Home can mean a whole lot of things to a whole lot of people. It can be the place the you grew. It can be the place where you sleep at night. Home can be here and there. Home can quite frankly be anywhere. Home can be a structured place with a roof and a bed. Home can be a place you just stepped into or in can be a place you
Home Home is a place you’re always welcomed, a place where you know even when you mess up the people there still love you. Home is the place where you don’t have to wear a mask for anyone you can just be yourself always, or at least that’s what home was for me. Last year in May of 2016 my mom mentioned that we were probably going to be moving in with her boyfriend in the following months. She told me this but for some reason, I didn’t actually think we would. I never thought we’d actually
Who does not just want to settle down and buy a House? An educated guess would be that almost everyone wants to buy a house and settle down. A house represents stability and commitment, but with today’s job market that is constantly changing buying a house can be the most damaging factor to one’s career. While in some cases buying a house can be the best decision one makes, in most cases for young adults and some more mature adults buying a house can become a real set back in their careers. Buying
Home Sweet Home How would you feel if you went into a business, to fill out an application for a job, and had to leave the section blank that was asking for your address? I am sure that you might feel lost, sad, or even embarrassed. On the other hand, how would you feel if you were able to fill in the section asking for your address, but did not feel like you could call this place home? Maybe you would have feelings of being alone, not loved, or not even cared about. I always
The Gamble House The Gamble House is historical for its beautiful architecture and its unique design. When I first heard of it I assumed it was known for something more than just its appearance. When I first heard its name I thought it was know for something a bit cooler like a secret place where only the elites would go to gamble and it had a secret room inside where if you were to pull a book off of a bookshelf a door would open and you would find a secret room with poker tables and a bar.
At some point in life everyone leaves the home that they grew up in. Some leave home to attend college, others may start their own families, and some take off to embark on other adventures. The house that I left was the only place that I had ever known as home, and I thought that I could always return to it to relive the thousands of memories I had made while living there for 17 years. With the morning sun shining through the curtains me and my boyfriend, Eddie, got out of bed at about 8 a.m. ready
each other. It was exhausting and as I grew older I too became part of the conflict with my siblings or my parents. I never felt like my house was my home. Do not take this the wrong way, I love my family very much. It’s just that the conflict I was always seeing, hearing, or being a part of deterred me from having that ‘homey’ feeling that one gets when they just relax on the couch in the living room watching Tv. When I first met my boyfriend’s (his name is Brandon by the way) Grandmother I immediately
Home. A word that brings comfort and eases the stress and pains of the world. This word uplifts the soul and drives us to complete the daunting and hectic task of the day in hopes of returning to its warm embrace. It’s our shelter, our essence, our backbone. When people hear the word “home,” an image of high definition comes into their minds, the colors crisp and the smells precise. I wish I had this luxury. The luxury of attachment. I long for the feeling of walking into a house, and knowing it’s
No Place Like Home To me home is where you go to get away from the crazy outside world. Home is a place where you feel a sense of belonging and familiarity. Home for me is currently here in Derby, Kansas. For almost 19 years now my home has been where my mother lives. My mom makes wherever we stay at feel like home. I feel the love and security I get throughout the house and it 's just the greatest feeling. It is the first house my parents have owned and it makes it that much more special to me.
put your home on the market. Preparing your home to go up on the market is one of those things you can put a lot of work into doing and still not sell. The housing market is a very tricky business to be in. You can’t just expect to put your house up for sell as is and get a bunch of offers. People want to walk in and see their future in it, not yours. When preparing you can choose how little or how much you put into it. Just know the price will increase with every task you do.
