Walking into the office, Carrie noticed that everyone seemed tense. She walked to Melissa 's desk, an old friend and coworker, and stated, "What 's going on? Why does everyone look so agitated?" she said in a low voice. "We 're about to have a meeting again because of someone else 's mistake," Melissa replied, biting on her lip. "What happened?". "Well, Jerry wrote a letter venting about the Boss, and he made a mistake and sent it to him." "What!", Carrie stated. "He didn 't try to send it to him. His intent was to send it to Maggie, but he sent it to the Boss instead. And it gets worst Maggie was also talking about leaving the company as well in the letter." Carrie shook her head as they walked into the meeting. As the conference started the Boss began to speak in a manner that no adult should talk to another. He screamed and sculled at everyone when they had nothing to do with the incident. By the time the meeting was over many were talking about leaving the company. Some stated that the way he communicated with them was very unprofessional, and they felt disrespected. Others stated they were going to file complaints. Personally, I don 't think the Boss handled himself in a professional way. As a leader you must know the role of communication and effective leadership otherwise, you will lose your best workers.
