It is with great enthusiasm that I submit a letter of interest for the clinical therapist position at The Ohio State University Counseling and Consultation Service (CCS). As a previous psychology intern and a current post-internship clinical fellow at CCS, I am well acquainted with the rich, supportive, and interdisciplinary climate fostered in the agency. This, along with the opportunity to serve marginalized populations, and tailor group and outreach activities to the needs of students and the larger university community, makes CCS the ideal place to begin my professional career. I believe that the rigorous didactic and clinical training I have gained working specifically within college counseling centers over the last four and a half years has prepared me well to serve at a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment such as yours. Through my training within university counseling centers, community and medical clinics, I have become adept at providing brief individual and group therapy to adults and college students from diverse cultural backgrounds with a wide range of clinical concerns, from developmental issues to complex pathology. Over the last seven and a half years, I have served as a psychologist-in-training providing crisis intervention, triage evaluation, outreach and consultation, and diagnostic assessments.
