A Letter To Immigrant

Have you ever thought about what it would be like if you found out you were undocumented in America? In the book “Dear America Notes of an Undocumented Citizen,” by Jose Antonio Vargas, you get to read first about Vargas’s experiences. “Dear America Notes of an Undocumented Citizen,” by Jose Antonio Vargas is about Jose Vargas, the author of the book, and his experience coming to America as an Undocumented Citizen. Due to Vargas being an undocumented citizen in America, he has to go his whole life without a driver's license and other important documents. In the story near the end, we see how Jose comes out to the public as undocumented, however nothing seems to happen to him since he came out even though he's undocumented.

It was such a joy to be able to watch ‘An Immigrant Journey’. Everyone that was involved in the play in any way, did a fantastic job on creating the story and making the story much more believable for audience members. I thought the cast did a fantastic job of condensing down over 125 hours of research material, into a 50-minute show, which had to be incredibly challenging.

Studying to be a physician requires lots of effort and time. To an immigrant like me, I tried to manage my studies, volunteer work, and adjusting to a new culture at the same time. I like to stick with my plans, and it has always been my plan to enter medical school on 2018. However, my road to entering medical school didn’t come as easy to me. After transferring to University, two of my close family passed away.

As a class, we are honored to be able to adopt two soldiers this Christmas! We are so excited to participate and give back to those who give it all! We want to send encouraging letters, Christmas cards, and many different treats that the soldiers may not have access to. We need your help to make this Christmas the best one yet for our servicemen overseas.

I was seven years old when came to the United States, but I still remember the happiness I felt when I first step in this country. Throughout the years, I have realize that not everything is easy and simple as I imagined. My parents worked in the fields because of the lack of a social security and not knowing how to speak English. Many Americans do not know how hard it is the life of an immigrant, they should have a consideration for us and not just blame us for the deviance of the United States.

Part 5: This week I learned so many new things that I thought I know but really didn’t. This was a great way to remember and learn about what immigrants go through to search for better things. It is not easy to be an immigrant. Many people think that immigrants are taking people's jobs, but they also need a job to supports themselves, and their family. Trump wants to send back all the immigrants to where they came from, but who will do all the dirty work when the immigrants who are willing to do it are gone? Where I am from, I was taught to work hard for what I want. Many people move for the better of their lives, and in search of better surrounds and opportunities.

Total inhalation of immigration would not be a healthy choice for the United States. However, setting out for stricter laws to become a citizen is in need. There are over 11.7 million illegal immigrants in the United States (poll 2011). Therefore, having restrictions on immigration overall can help the economy grow, security at airports, docs, borders, and on the streets would not only lessen the illegal immigrants around the country, but supply more jobs for Americans. Illegal immigrants not only live in the U.S, but are supplied jobs in which were made for American workers.
