Dear Grandpa, How are you, Grandpa? I hope you are doing fine. *boleh ke guna as fit as a fiddle?* It’s been long since I last wrote you a letter. I am truly sorry as I am busy burning the midnight oil to pass my examination with flying colours. I am narrating this letter to you is to tell you about some good news and bad news. I will tell you the bad news first so that you will be smiling when you are done reading this letter. Grandpa, is there something wrong? You know, last week I received a letter from home saying that you are making a fuss at home. Grandpa, you should control your temper. Where is my calm and easy-going grandpa? I realize, for the first time, how very lonely I have been in the arena. How comforting the presence of another human being can be. Nobody likes being alone that much. Spending more time with the others is a good way to not be lonely. Now, let’s go on to the good news. *boleh ke guna let’s go on to the bright side?* Like I said earlier, I was busy burning the midnight oil for the examination and guess what? I got the highest mark for my Biology paper in my school. Aren’t you proud for me, Grandpa? I have to admit it that I am really happy with the results I had achieved. All of my efforts were paid off. That is not all. I am also ranked as the top five students in the school. Studying at a boarding school is hard. There are too many competitors and you know that I cannot accept losing. That is not all, Grandpa. My school organized a competition where we need to build and launch a reusable rocket to one mile above ground level while carrying a scientific or engineering payload. My group got the blue ribbon. I never expect the rocket to fly up to two mile above ground level. So let me simply say, Grandpa, that I look at you as a hero, as my hero. You are an amazing man, one that I admire and appreciate and love. You showed me how to have fun, how to enjoy life, what family means and joy means. You have given me the very essence of how I perceive life and I cannot express how profoundly grateful I am for all that you have done. Thank you Grandpa for all of those and
