Upon arrival, I made contact with Walmart Loss prevention Officer, Fabiano Estrela, who was located in the loss prevention office with the subject, later identified as Nathan. The subject was cooperating with loss prevention and he willingly agreed to wait for the police.
At 3:51 a.m. on May 26th, Amazon Associate Ramon Cruz Paulino approached Security Shift Supervisor about his hoodie missing. Paulino said his hoodie is a dark blue Hollister Co. hoodie, in b-building in the last cubby (he puts the hoodie in the same spot every day) and that the last time he had seen the hoodie was start of shift on Friday the 20th. Immediately Security Shift Supervisor pulled Ramon’s lenels for the 20th, he entered the building at 6:41 p.m. wearing the navy hoodie. At 6:43 p.m. Ramon places the hoodie in the cubby. Once the hoodie was placed Security Shift Supervisor then started checking every other hour if the hoodie was moved during Ramon’s shift. On 4/27/2018, I was conducting a business check of 8701 US 19 (Walmart) at which time I was approached by business loss prevention employee, Steven Uliano. Steven advised that a male subject identified as being Michael King was at a self-check out register and previously trespassed from this location.
Castro said the male suspect was wearing a grey shirt, black shorts, and pushing a shopping cart. Castro said the female suspect was wearing a white top, dark shorts, and carrying a large TJ Maxx reusable shopping bag. Castro saw the suspects go to different sections of the store concealing items in their shopping bag. The suspects attempted to leave the store with the unpaid for items. Castro contacted the suspects at the front entrance of the store. Castro told the suspects to give the items back and the male suspect handed Castro the items and the female suspect dropped additional loss on the ground. Both suspects left on foot south on Lake Ave.
Upon our arrival we were met by Jerry Thompson, he stated to us that someone had stolen some hand tools and atv wheel and tires from his shop behind his residence. After speaking with Mr. Thompson Sgt. South and I went out to the outside of the shop under a covered parking area and found a yellow in color Can-Am atv on a motorcycle jack without the wheel and tires. After this Mr. Thompson showed us inside of the shop where a tall rolling tool box was and informed us that various hand tools such as socket sets, ratchets and electric impact drivers were taken from. Mr. Thompson also informed us that in the office area inside the shop was a change jar with approximately $20.00 in change was missing and a 30 pack of bud light was missing out of the refrigerator in the office area.
On Thursday, September 3, 2015, I was dispatched to 3457 Hillsborough Road (Kroger Store) on a report of a Larceny call. Upon arrival I was met by Mr. Dominic Dyquan Henry, the store manager on duty. Mr. Henry advised me that a black male with a backpack entered the store and stole the listed items. Mr. Henry advised the suspect was seen by an employee, stuffing items in his backpack. The suspect then walked towards the exit. (See “Property” section for a complete description of the item.)
K-9 officer told Mr. Solomon to stop and he continues to run. Mr. Solomon heard the officer say he was going to release the dog and Mr. Solomon gave up. Mr. Solomon was then taken into police custody. When the victim came home, Detective Gibbs went into the home and found a black backpack at the top of the stairs. The victims stated that the backpack was not theirs. Detective Gibbs opened the backpack and the victim’s stolen laptop was inside and Daniel Solomon’s homework was also inside. Mr. Solomon and Mr. Powell were brought to 311 County Street and they both confessed to breaking the window and going inside of the home. They both blamed each other for taking items.”
He said that he discovered the loss when he got back home from the drug and alcohol rehabilitation clinic on 7/21/2016 and that no was present at the time of discovery. Including that he did not witness anything or anyone strange in the area before the theft occurring.
Upon my arrival, I spoke with the victim later identified as Rhonda Jo Myers (DOB 07/21/1973). Mrs. Myers stated that while checking her bank account statement, Mrs. Myers noticed that her account was missing $549.08 USC. From a purchase that Mrs. Myers did not make on 02/19/2017 at “Apple Online Store”.
On Sunday, September 6th, 2015, I, Officer Darryall White, was contacted by Sgt. Frank Long in reference to foods associate Joshua Moore (ID# 1934523) of Dockside Fries stealing money. Sgt. Long and two officers went to Dockside Fries to do pocket checks. It was discovered that Mr. Moore had $5 dollars under his cash register. Mr. Moore was escorted to the North Carolina Interview Room where a compliance audit and interview was conducted. Five dollars was found in his shoes.
On December 13, 2015, AP closed internal cash and merchandise theft case at the Bay Rockland for a value of $430. AP received a tip regarding theft of money in the locker room from associate’s personal belongings. Live surveillance showed the cleaner taking money from an associate’s jacket. The cleaner was interviewed and admitted to the theft of the associate’s money and also merchandise from the receiving
The above resident stated that on 7/23//15 around 5:00 am she opened her bag to look for a friend's number. She had an envelope that contains approximately $500. When she opened the envelope she realized her money was missing.
Waldrep advised that she left her money inside the class room in her backpack and went to use the restroom. Waldrep advised that when she returned her money was missing from her backpack. Waldrep advised that this incident occurred on Friday, May 29, 2016.
Dispatch advised me that they received a call from Walmart Loss Prevention Officer, Marion Edwards. Edwards advised that there were two females concealing items in several backpacks. Edwards further advised dispatch that the females were with two males.
12/12/16 at 1747 Hours- Brian Clark is seen entering the fitting room while carrying a large quantity of clothing in his arms. Brian then exits the fitting room at 1800 hours with the selected clothing concealed underneath his clothing and exits the store. Amount of merchandise stolen:
