“Watch out for that rock!” yelled Ryan as he pulled the lever to release the throttle. “I know, I know,” shouted back Stanley “I’ve done this about a hundred times before, I think I know how to land.” The team landed perfectly without any difficulties, “wow, look at that view,” said Ago as he pointed towards the surrounding landscape “it is so beautiful.” “I know right, it looks so amazi- wait, did you see that?” said Stanley in a worried tone “what?” asked Ryan. “That figure,” said Stanley as he pointed to a distant mountain “don’t you see it?” “No?” said Ago. “I have a bad feeling about this place,” said Ryan “Me too,” said Stanley “I don’t like this at all.” The teamed tried to ignore the incident and trudged on. So he just ran across the street to tell his friends. He said the same thing and they didn’t believe him either. He continued to tell everyone that he knew and no one believed him so he just gave up and went back inside to get some rest. The next morning, he woke up and remembered something. He remembered about his alien friends and he thought that they could lend him some technology to make people believe him, and so he did. He went onto the radio station that also had interference and heard some sort of babbling, he recognized it as the aliens and asked them for help, within 5 minutes, they responded. They told him to meet them at the local Wal-Mart in the parking lot a 7:30 PM the next day, he agreed. He began to prepare himself for the meeting the next day. He set his clothes down neatly on the floor so they were ready the next day. He took a shower and then went to
Francis explains it's an old burial spot, that may even be old than him. While talking to Liam and Beckah the inflection of Francis' voice has a fearful quality. He tells the children to flee from this place. Through his special vision, Liam saw another spirit approaching. Liam realized the spirit was Fenris. Fenris attempts to grab Liam by the scruff, while simultaneously yelling, "Bring it to me, find it and bring it to me" Fenris also mentioned his brother in his rage-filled speech. They then decide to split up to question others in the town about Fenris' family.

On Saturday evening, cheered on by family and friends that had gathered at California’s Simi Valley, Aikins boarded the Cessna airplane that would fly him to the desired altitude. Shortly after, they, along with millions of others watching on television, held their breath as Aikins plummeted toward the ground, face first, with his arms outstretched. At about 10,000 feet, the skydiver handed his oxygen mask to one of two team members who were doing the jump as well. They, of course, had

Wiping the sweat from my brow I called a halt to the crew. Phil and I dumped our packs and found a comfy boulder to rest on. I looked back to where the last guys were coming from back down the trail. They had stopped talking a while back and marched slowly along the dirt trail. Phil produced an energy-bar he’d saved from breakfast and began to munch on it as I drained another water bottle. After the refreshing drink I laid back against the rock and stared up at the pine trees. But a moment later, hearing grumble about sore legs, I sat up, grinning, “By the map we only have another couple hours.”
Half-an-hour before, he’d been standing on the tarmac, admiring the dwindling June sun. He’d already done several jumps that day with first-timers looking to experience the thrill of jumping out of a plane. Even though he enjoyed taking people up and seeing the satisfaction they got from skydiving for the first time, he preferred to jump solo. For Sal, those few moments of freefall were his meditation, a brief period of time in which he could just
The Hunger Games, Star Wars, and A Wrinkle in Time all relate to the Hero’s Journey in different ways, but there are also similarities in the approach of Hero’s Journey. The refusal in Hunger Games and Star Wars are alike in the fact that Katniss and Luke’s choice of refusal is for the best of their family. Meg, however, has no choice and regrets going until she realizes that she will get her dad back. Crossing the threshold is different because Katniss has time to soak up the information and Luke just has to leave right away. During the point of the Test/ Allies/ Enemies, the stories are different by the intensity of the events; but they are also alike. The Hero’s Journey throughout the Hunger Games, Star Wars, and A Wrinkle in Time all have many differences and similarities in the approach of the Hero’s Journey.

When the rain stopped and the sun started to come out, I finally went to my car. I opened the driver’s side door, sat down, and closed it. I banged my hands on the dashboard multiple times and screamed. The tears came back, streaming down my face as if they were rivers themselves. When at last there were no more tears left to flow out, I turned my head towards the bridge and for the last time, I glared out at the spot where she stood before her
Watching a film, one can easily recognize plot, theme, characterization, etc., but not many realize what basic principle lies behind nearly every story conceived: the hero’s journey. This concept allows for a comprehensive, logical flow throughout a movie. Once the hero’s journey is thoroughly understood, anyone can pick out the elements in nearly every piece. The hero’s journey follows a simple outline. First the hero in question must have a disadvantaged childhood. Next the hero will find a mentor who wisely lays out his/her prophecy. Third the hero will go on a journey, either literal or figurative, to find him/herself. On this journey the hero will be discouraged and nearly quit his/her quest. Finally, the
