Imagine a warm September night under bright field lights. The light summer breeze brushing against your face. A rush of adrenaline through your veins. There’s a swell of cheering coming from in the stands and the dugout. You can feel the most overwhelming sense of joy. That is my passion. According to the Merriam Webster English Dictionary, passion means “a strong liking or desire for, or devotion to some activity, object, or concept,” but that is stiff and set, with no hint of emotion as all definitions are. To me it means a feeling in your chest when you think about something, because you love that one thing so much. Everyone has different passions, but for me one thing strikes a chord. My passion is softball, and it includes so many amazing things even past it’s pretty obvious physical benefits. I love softball, because it has allowed me to be healthier, learn many life lessons, and make great friends. It benefits my community by allowing primarily young girls to develop leadership skills, how to deal with controversy, teachability, and gives them an opportunity to make friendships that will last them their whole lives, as well.

My spiritual values and my connection to god and my church drive me in all things to be as christ like as I possibly can. Tho not studying for a ministry career I feel I will still have many encounters through god and in my walk with him. Nature or Nurture. Nature may be all of the genes and hereditary factors with which influence them to become who they are such as physical appearances and personality characteristics. Nurturing impacts people’s lives as well as how they are raised and all the environmental factors. In combination, these qualities can be the true identity of oneself. Many people may argue that nurture appears to a play huge factor in the two, but others may think otherwise. Not having both as a characteristic can have a negative effect on a person physically and mentally. The debate of nature versus nurture appears to be the oldest argument known to man, and it still remains to be unanswered. In the old-age argument nature versus nurture, nature may play a huge role in determining a person’s true identity.

While I loved my job, I was feeling restricted in what I can teach people as far as nutrition, mindset and faith. I was also feeling the need to earn more money for myself, my family and the ministries I believe in.

My wife and I are the children’s pastors and love our ministry and our children. We have realized that this is our home and where God want us. If I continued on the path of management we would have had to move in the future. Our pastors are realizing that their getting near retirement age and want to train the new leaders in our church. I have completed a three-year School of Ministry course and have been ordained as a Pastor. I now have a sense of peace and comfort that I’m doing what God has called of me in my life. But there is a piece that I’m missing. That piece is finishing my education. It’s always been a goal of mine to get a degree. It’s now my goal to get an Associates degree in biblical studies. I’m also still thinking about even getting my Bachelor’s and eventually getting a Masters in

Passion has many definitions in the dictionary, most of which address emotion or strong feelings of desire. Another meaning is an intense driving or overmastering feeling or conviction.

Passion is a very powerful emotion that numerous individuals have experienced throughout life and depending on their situation; some may use this emotion as a motivation to move forward in life. In the tragedy, Macbeth, William Shakespeare suggests that when strong rulings passions begin to transform into obsessions, they may lead to destructive results. These rulings passions can lead to deteriorating relationships due to extreme measures one takes in order to reach their desired success; self-destruction caused by one’s absence of mind while taking unperceptive decisions; and one’s passion causing one to lose the sense of reality. One’s ruling passion can cause one to make irrational decisions leading one to cause damage to ones relationships.
