A new era of great opportunities for the health care world beings with the bill of Affordable Care Act (ACA) President Obama put in act this year. The ultimate goal of this law is to provide affordable and top of the line health care for everyone. Everyone is mandated to sign up for healthcare, whether is Medicare, Medicaid or through the Federal Health Care Marketplace. The three major problems are addressed with the ACA; the access of minorities and low-income groups are suboptimal, overall quality is improving though access is getting worse and disparities are not changing, and focused quality of diabetes care, maternal-child care, adverse events, disparities in cancer and care among states in the South (National Council of State Boards of Nursing, 2014). These great accomplishments from the government don’t go short of stirring up some problems. Approximately 4 million people have registered for private insurance through federal and state based marketplaces since October (National Council of State Boards of Nursing, 2014). The demand for health care services will only increase, especially for people who suffer from major chronic illnesses often seen in the United States. “ The most recent prediction estimates that by 2015, the shortage of physician primary care providers exceed 52,000”, states the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. To compensate this influx of patients and lack of physicians will be to expand the scope of practice for Registered Nurses,
