Equality's thoughts portray Ayn Rand's ideas in “How Does One Lead A Rational Life In An Irrational Society”. Ayn confines her answer to a single principle “ One must never fail to pronounce moral judgment”. That is exactly what Equality did, everybody else in the society ignored what the Council of Vocations was doing and they thought they were absolute; however, Equality challenged them from the beginning by writing in his diary, he also knew he was challenging them, yet he was ready to face the consequences and he wrote “ It is a sin to write this....”. Also Ayn Rand said "To abstain from condemning a torturer, is to become an accessory to the torture". Equality morally denounced the society not making him an accessory to the torture
