A Short Story : A Story?

They grabbed their bags, filled hastily with food and supplies by Grace as the small campfire intended for warmth had started spreading. They sprinted through a gap in the flames and kept running, trying to ignore the roaring of sirens and hoping to whatever higher spirit there was that they had not left any evidence behind. The last thing they needed now was for law enforcement to catch them.

“Uh, yeah! Sure!” When I knew I was l alone I ran all over town looking for the source of the snow. I finally found it at an abandoned warehouse just outside of town. I waited a couple of seconds before saying something but before I could, someone spoke.

I threw closed the backpack and sprinted, catching up with Megan and the boys in no time. Looking behind me, I saw just how close we were. The Rotters had just reached the car, and were still coming after us.

It was still dark on Saturday morning when the alarm went off at five-thirty. Ruth pushed the snooze button for another five minutes. Although, she was anxious to see her grandfather she had decided to see him on her way back from Howardsville.

Hunter chuckled as he began his own descent from the keep he stopped above the keeps entrance as Ozwin walked out of it and began to look nervously around. Hunter simply watched him for moment and realised that he could simply find Ozwin somewhere safe he after all it was because of him Ozwin was here and with this thought he jumped off the roof to land behind Ozwin.

“Go grab Hunter.” I say. “That coyote or whatever got the chickens is back and it’s trying to get into the house. I hear it scratching.”

“Why in the world am I in here?” Flyer said. “I could be eaten by the hunter’s dog!”

Josh woke up to his mom calling him down for breakfast. It was Thursday , which meant he had school, which meant he had to face Woodfork.“Honey,” his mom called, “the bus leaves in five minutes.” Josh threw on some clothes, ran downstairs, ate some breakfast, and ran outside to the bus stop.

He saw also a text from his father, asking if he was okay as he hadn't spoken to his son since the early evening of the previous day)

Everyday at 8:02 it happened. Cecillia saw a pattern, her mother would visit her at this time everyday. The same queasy feeling would be brought back like it was on the way to the beach that morning.
