I sat in the nurse's office while she was taking care of my eye it didn't take very long. She said "There will be a little bit of bruising." I nodded and she let me out of her office and I walked into the main office both Patrick and Henry were sent out of the Principal's office and I tried to talk to Patrick "Patri-." "Miss Davenport can you step into my office for a minute?" I heard Principal Blackburn's voice call me over. I sighed and walked into his office."Okay Miss Davenport as i can see that you have been a straight A student and you have not been sent to my office before for any reason and I've noticed for the past month your grades have been slipping. your teacher has told me that you've had a change in your group of friends. Would you like to explain what's going on?" I shook my head "No there's nothing wrong." The principal nodded and asked "Then miss Davenport would you like to explain what happened with Miss Keene this morning?" I smiled and said "She started the fight by running that big ass mouth of hers so I shut it for her." "What did she say to you Kassidy?" the smile faded from my face as I told him about what Gretta said to me this morning and he said that he was going to have a word with her and let me leave his office but not before telling me that I was going to have detention for the rest of the week along with Patrick, Henry and possibly Gretta too. I walked out of the office and went looking for Patrick but instead of finding Patrick I ran into
It was a cold and foggy wednesday morning on june 10th. Hunter was sleeping on his bed when he heard his mom call him.
When he left Haig to meet and greet all the staff, Doctor Pax strode over to a plain wooden door in
Blake held Kevin steady as they walked towards the hallway’s sitting area. Two off-duty Guards sat next to one another and sipped coffee. They looked fuzzy. Super duper fuzzy. Like vibrating dolls.
It started when she was five and it has never ended since. Her mother, a woman of plants, came to her with the dirt on her shorts from the mums she’d worked with. Her long brown hair pulled back into a bun with small streaks of blonde. The mother checked in at the daycare’s desk. Mom’s here.
Every step is heavy, as we reached the base of the hill, where a super steep incline awaits. We conquer it every year though each time, it feels less victorious. My brother took the lead, grabbing onto a thick plant to haul himself up. Going next, I grab the same vine, though it breaks, dropping me on the clotted earth. My legs become stuck with dirt, my sweat acting like an adhesive. Like the lovely person he is, Gabriel looked down and laughed, before giving me a hand and helping me up and over the incline, as displaced dust trickles down. To break the quiet I turn my embarrassment into his, making fun of his new girlfriend. “Why Bebe?” I quip, “Stella is so much prettier and smarter. And she’s actually your age.” Glaring at me, he hisses “Can you not. ” With this, a realization hit me: their budding romance had ended. And so soon! “Did you guys break up?” I ask, followed quickly by, “Now you can profess your love to Stella!,” before running ahead to avoid his furious gaze and swinging arms. His now ex-girlfriend, he didn’t even tell me about, instead, I found out through a post on Instagram, which I soon found out had been deleted.
I sit in the bowling alley bathroom floor on a Saturday night with, Kennedy, Sarra, Kamryn, and Hallee terrified that there’s going to be someone breaking in and shooting us all. Hallee Lincoln and I sit on the floor and hold the door closed, Hallee calls the police and tells them that there is someone at the bowling alley door with a gun and we’re sitting in the bathroom trying to keep safe. All that I know is: I came here just to have a fun night, there’s a shooter running around Glenwood, who knows who the shooter shot, and there’s a man outside with a gun. Someone is trying to push the door open and Hallee and I look at each other with terror and push as hard as we can to keep the door closed.
“ Sorry, Dawn! I guess I am a little late. Oh, and by the way, you are now on plain grain. We are giving your champion feed to Ringo now, with twice the apples. We think he needs and deserves it more that you do. I hope you understand!”
David stumbles out of his bed and onto his feet. Takes a moment to balance himself without the wall, then stumble his way to the out of the cell. He remembers when he was in this cell last time. It was a long time ago, when he was young and innocent and didn’t realise how horrible this world is. He was here to pick up his younger brother, Jerry, who had taken out his mum's car when he was only 15. They had a promise that David would never tell their parents as long as Jerry didn’t pull another stunt like that again. The parents always worried about Jerry as he was the trouble maker at school and didn’t care about school. Not like David anyway. David was accepted into Oxford, and was squeaky clean. He never did anything wrong, he was a smart kid. But he is a different person now. If you told his parents he would end up like this, they would die of shock. Age has changed him, he has experienced a lot and has anger growing inside him.
One day in the early spring of 1997 James Jameson was at home eating his favorite cereal reeses puffs while watching spiderman, when all of a sudden the TV cuts to the news and apparently the world is in its early stages of ending. James realized he was home alone and his family had gone out of the town for a little bit, so he decided to set off to find his family. About 3 hours after walking and searching everywhere it starts getting dark and he needed to find shelter. When it was about 9:00pm he stumbled upon an abandoned amusement park and when he eventually found out where he was his anxiety kept raising up little by little.
“Bet you can’t look at e house without even dying, perhaps that’s what happened to to your sister Janice.” I hear Delly saying that over and over again like a video that won’t stop replaying and as I shake my head it goes away like an echo. Delly wasn’t wrong, as we were all at the door and opened it we all were just staring at the dark shadowy room that smelled like honey, I was dying. This was the place the place where my sister died, or where she was last found, she still isn’t found because people aren’t willing to go through what she had gone to save her as few have and never got out. All of this town of Lakesville knew about the tragedy of 26th of October. Yes it was just 3 days ago and tomorrow is Halloween.
It was a bright and sunny morning in the city of Istanbul, the streets were full of people and vehicles rushing to their destinations. A small but beautiful looking home stood in front of the Bosporus. It had a white picket fence and roses growing everywhere. Inside the home, a man who looked to be in his late 40’s sat at the kitchen table drinking coffee while his wife was cooking breakfast at the stove,” Aisha, I am going to be late where is Elif?” he questioned.
Destiny turned to Niaomi with a face full of hatred and walked away. At that moment I knew I messed up. In Trig, she ignored me and sat as far away from me as possible. I didn’t know what to do so I just stayed away. When Friday came, I could finally cheer with the team. Even though I was supposed to be happy, I couldn’t get Destiny out of my head. After the game Niaomi asked if I wanted to go to some college party her boyfriend invited us to, but I decided to just go home. After finally getting home I sat in the car for at least an hour before actually attempting to make my way into the house. As I walked in I seen my mom lying on our kitchen table with a half empty bottle of something I knew she shouldn’t have.
It was 11:45 PM and I wasn’t not home. I was at my grandparents’ house waiting for a call from my mom or dad. My little brother was with me the whole time. It’s late at night and everyone’s sound asleep except for me. I couldn’t sleep, at least not until I received a call from my dad. Every five minutes I would text him; “ Anything new?”, and the answer; “ Not yet, no, or nothing.”
It was always white when Rose made a jump to a new universe. It was similar to a flash of lightning but caused her whole vision to blank out. Involuntarily she squeezed her eyes shut against the bright light, causing her to see a different white wall. A white wall which brought back painful memories filled with screams of take me back, smudged mascara, and a feeling of hopelessness.
Can’t do it, you don’t want to know,” Matthew said, displaying emotions for the first time. “Okay, but you won’t be happy.” He stopped talking, looking around the room as if looking for a camera.
