About ten years ago in our town of Hampton, there was a disappearance of a girl named Amy. The last time she was seen was her room as she was going to bed. The next morning, she was gone. All police could find of her was a small note written by someone else that said “the caves”. After a thorough investigation that lasted several months, the police gave up. It appeared that the mystery would never be solved. But (intro) It all began with a simple phone call one night after dinner. “Joe,” my father hollered up the stairs,”it’s Jackie, and she sounds upset.” As I came down to pick the phone, I was not happy. I was tired and had looked forward to a nice quiet evening at home, not another stupid adventure with Jackie. Thirty minutes later, however, Jackie’s silver Mustang convertible swung into our driveway, and Jackie was leaning on the horn before the car came to a full stop. Grabbing my coat from the couch, I walked out my front door with all the enthusiasm of a man going to stand before a firing squad. As I opened the door, Jackie was very eager to explain to me what she found. Her dad worked at the police station, and when he was driving her car to be fixed, he had to stop at the police station for something. She came in with him, and as they were on the way out, she saw a police file poking out that she said could lead to what happened to Amy. Jackie was a close friend of mine since elementary school, and was always a curious, friendly, sometimes reckless person. She

On an early Monday morning the sun rises over a small house located in a quiet town by the name of Old City of Rhoads in Greece. When the sun hits the small house, the house looks even smaller and the shadow of the house outlines the old looking torn apart boards holding the roof together. Even though this house looks old and small everyone in the town knows the story behind the man who used to live there, and the family who lives there now. The man who build and used to live in the house went by the name of Floyd Blackwood. Floyd was a master fisher man and would bring food to the town for family’s to buy and eat, because the town of Old City of Rhoads has always had a shortage of livestock. Floyd was basically a hero. He would spend his nights fishing, and his days building a house for him, his wife, and son. One day Floyd finished the house. And while his wife and son were settling in he decided to go fishing on his boat. Floyd went out to sea and started fishing but, before he could even realize how late it was and turn around he was trapped in a sea storm and did not make it out alive. The small house is now owned by Floyd’s wife, violet who lives with her now 17- year old son John.
Daisy motioned for me to sit down and she sat opposite. “When we moved here and heard the stories I was intrigued, but it wasn’t until two years ago and we were pulling down the back fence that I figured it out.”
I woke up. Everything around me was blurry, and dark. I was awfully hungry, and I had a tube in my arm. I had no idea what was going on. All of a sudden, an alarm was going off somewhere around me. My ears rang with loud, annoying sounds. A flurry of lights came on, one after another. A doctor rushed in.
As Nora was running she saw all the people that worked at the training facility coughing on the ground. All the smoke from the fires had filled their lungs and they couldn’t breathe all too well. The sound of them coughing made Nora think of the night her father got in the car accident. That was the last time she saw her mom before she left. The emotions from that night filled Nora’s head. She started to question whether she could trust her mom anymore. What did she need the stone for? Why was she so protective over it? Was it really needed to save the universe or was it just so she can be even more powerful? The thoughts were interrupted by a voice.
“HURRY UP!” I yelled across the street at Diana as she’s running down the street, barefoot, while I wait for her on the other side of road. We’re going off to the local supermarket to purchase the ingredients needed to make pumpkin bread.
It was a nice October day and Bertha and her family were out on a hike in the woods when suddenly, SQUISH! Bertha heard a bug crush underneath her foot. “Eww,” she stated in disgust, “I just stepped on a spider!” Bertha desperately tried to get the spider guts off of her shoe as her dad said, “You should have watched where you were walking sweetie! That spider could have a family that it was trying to get back to!” Berthas dad had a thing about not killing bugs because he claims that what goes around comes around, but Bertha thought it was silly since they were just meaningless bugs. “Yeah okay,” Bertha sighed. So Bertha, her mom, her dad, and her sister Delaney all continued their hike but Bertha kept on killing the small bugs that would land on her arms.
“No, but he seemed to just sit and stare at me for near on my entire shift. I was going to point him out to you but he just disappeared.” She said and suddenly started to get an uneasy feeling. “Ulyana, do you get the feeling we are being watched?”
In the early morning of Sunday, a very beautful young lady by the name of Jaidan awoke stranded in the woods. She had heard much rumors about these very woods. The village people said the woods were haunted with ghosts and talking trees. Although, Jaidan didn’t believe the stories, she was still frightened. She had no idea how she got there, or how she was even going to get back.
Okuyasu waited outside of your house with a nervous smile, rocking back and forth on his heels. The scene of him asking you out replayed in his head repeatedly, to remind himself yes, this really is happening. The door opened, and you reveal yourself to him, wearing the cutest outfit you could put together. Okuyasu’s mouth dropped in awe of how great you looked, and you smiled, stepping out and locking your door behind you.
Kagome looks around noticing the sun has begun to set behind the trees sighing not really wanting to return to the group just yet.
(No one saw the agent place a small device under the bumper of the van and then slip back into the bushes)
I noise wakes me up and I see the thief. The person who had been stealing our food. It is Mr. Van Daan. I should’ve known that it was him. He such a greedy selfish man. It couldn’t have been anyone else. My immediate thought is to get Otto so he can see the thief for himself. So I start to scream for him. “Otto! Otto! Come quick!” I scream. I wake up the whole annex, which is completely fine with me. All of them should see that Mr. Van Daan has been the thief all along. Otto comes in, asking, “What’s the matter? What is it?” “He steals food!” I reply. Mr. Dussel starts grabbing at Mr. Van Daan, calling him a dirty thief and a good-for-nothing. Mrs. Van Daan come in completely confused. I can’t believe she had no idea that her own husband was stealing food! I am completely outraged. I don’t even want to look at the Van Daan couple right now. Peter is an angel, and him and Anne are really close, but I can’t even begin to say how angry I am at his father for stealing food. “Mr. Van Daan, how could you!” Otto says. I can see the fire in his eyes. It’s the same fire that I had in mine. “I’m hungry.” Mr. Van Daan replies. After that I completely explode. I can’t take it anymore. “We’re all of us hungry! I see the children getting thinner and thinner! Your own son Peter… I’ve heard him moan in his sleep he’s so hungry! And you come in the night and steal food that should be going to them… to the children.” I yell. Mrs. Van Daan rushes over to her husband. “ He needs more food
"Let's see." Rin said as she picked out her lipstick. "Should I use the maroon or the rose?" She held the two up to the light to judge the color. "Maybe you should where none and then jump of the school's roof." A little voice in the back of her head said manically. "Oh shut up." she moaned as she put the lipstick on. "Sweetie come get your breakfast." Rin's mom shouted from down the hall. "Coming." Rin yelled back. "Maybe you could not eat and starve yourself to death." The voiced said again. Rin groaned and sat at the table. Her brother came in, fresh from the shower. "Morning. Dad already leave?" He said as he shoveled spoonfuls of oatmeal in his mouth. "Ya know, eating too fast will make you gain weight. And since your not in sports you might want to think twice about your eating habits." Rin said in a matter-of-fact tone. "You can be a bitch, you know that?" Len said as he gritted his teeth. "Take that back Rin. Your not like that.", the voice echoed in her head. " I'm sorry for stating the truth fat ass."
She let herself be swallowed by the fog. She didn't remember dinner or what she said, just that food tasted like ash and a corpse’s hand was warmer than hers. Her face hurt from smiling and her laugh sounded hollow. She was too apathetic to care, her mind far away dreaming of Erik.
