Cerritos College was founded in 1956 and serves 52 square miles of southeastern Los Angeles County California. Cerritos College is located in Norwalk California and has a student population of approximately twenty-three thousand students and graduates approximately 1330 students annually. The student population is majority minority with an approximately 72 percent of the student body being Hispanic, African American, Pacific Islander, and Native Indian. Also, Cerritos College is accredited by the Western Association of School and Colleges. Interestingly, Cerritos College was in a warning status in April of 2015 but received full accreditation on June 3, 2015, after addressing issues noted by the accreditation committee. Cerritos College is in the process of seeking a qualified applicant to fill the position of Director, of Diversity, Compliance, and Title IX Coordinator. The position posted on September 21, 2015, and will remain open until filled. However, the selection committee will review applications on October 28, 2015, at 5:00 pm. Requirements for this position is that the applicant hold a Master’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in the field of human resources, organizational management, business or a related field to the job requirements.
