The ever changing roles in the organizations and society in general keep twisting the meaning of leadership and its applicability. It is for this reason that many theories have been formed by researchers in an attempt to fully understand or come up with a unified definition of leadership. In simple terms, leadership can be defined as the process of guiding or directing a group of people who have been brought together and share a common goal or vision. Leadership roles are usually taken up by individuals who have certain traits who can naturally influence a huge following as the essence of leadership is followership. Leadership is not an easy task and one needs to posses certain qualities which are either inherited or learned. Leaders therefore need to present their followers with their vision if they are to earn the trust and demonstrate the ability to lead them. Leaders face the challenge of being able to guide the team to help them achieve the set objectives that they commonly share in the most appropriate manner and to speak the vision of the whole group and give proper directions out of any challenging situation that they might be faced with at any particular moment.
