After my critical care HESI in October, I came up with a plan of action to help and improve my weak areas. I followed this plan to review the materials and prepare for the Exit HESI and NCLEX. The plan worked very well, but there were some part that did not. By using my HESI review book, Evolve adaptive quizzing, and Evolve case studies, I was able to get a better understanding with the weak areas. It also improved my ability to answered NCLEX style questions. I was able to review the materials, and answered questions, which allows feedback and allowing me to review on the areas that I still have to work on. On the other hand, I was not able to use the critical care textbook or listened to the old lecture liked I mentioned. This was very time
This simulation experience allowed me to practice my focused assessment skills, delegation of tasks, prioritization on of tasks, interdisciplinary communication skills, and skills that I have not been able to participate in such as blood administration. I learned that my strengths are patient education, delegation, noticing changes in patient condition, and working as a member of a team. I need to improve my speed of completing tasks, my confidence, and my process of working through new skills.
I am honored to be in ASB this year and enjoy making a difference in the school and being a leader, and I’m looking forward to making a bigger difference next year at the school. I have learned numerous tips on how to be a leader by writing essays and showing what we learned in different committees in ASB and in our larger world. Throughout my year in ASB I learned how to be a better leader, and because of that I used these skills to make the school a better place to be in and a more amusing and exciting place to go to school.
CBT expects clients to take an active role in their learning, in the session and between sessions. I would implement homework assignments at each of Evans session and review them at the start of the next session. In addition, I would incorporate Socratic questioning, role playing, imagery, guided discovery, and behavioral experiments with Evan.
This is Abdulftah Yahia. I want to let you know that I have completed my student teaching and will complete my degree by August. I will be a certified teacher in Social Studies by the upcoming school year. As you know, I would love to teach at Strong. I believe my connection with the students and parents makes it an ideal situation for me. As a person who grew up in Yemen and in Melvindale, I could help the students adapt to their new surroundings. In addition, I am familiar with many of the Yemeni families living in Melvindale. I would love to help in fostering our overall development as a community in terms of education and assimilation. All in all, I am confident in my abilities to work with students and find myself to be a strong candidate
Upon reflection of the FYE 105 course material from this semester I realized there have been many techniques I have been able to improve or learn new strategies for academic success in the pursuit of lifelong learning. After being out of a traditional school for over twenty years, my academic success strategy began with obtaining a rhythm of life and school. Once I developed and implemented a good personal time management routine that allowed ample time for the many competing activities life brings, I was on course for success in achieving my goals. One aspect of this class that had a significant impact on my academic success was modifying the way I took notes to include all essential information in an easy to read and review format. I will be able to use the notetaking and time management techniques I have learned this semester in not only all future courses but in any environment requiring detailed notes and strict time management to ensure success.

This was my first time taking GSW 1120, a course in which I learned to successfully develop, examine, communicate and argue a thesis statement, by integrating the learning outcomes identified in the course. The initial assignment asked that we find a book to read and perform a critique that identified a current trend, person or event. Since substance abuse and addiction is one of nation’s fastest growing problems and AA 12-step recovery has been the traditional method of treatment I chose, AA: Not the Only Way: Your One Stop Resource Guide to 12-step Alternatives. Anchorage, Alaska: Capolo Press, 2008, a book written by a woman, Melanie Solomon, who battled addiction for 12 years. Solomon explains in her story that she was addicted to pills,

The knowledge I gained from this discussion and assignment for this BSN-level course helped me achieve the SLO of communicating and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to provide client-centered care. HIV screening is incorporated into my hospitals admission questions. I first provide a handout to the patients about HIV testing and education, then I offer the HIV test to the patients and I document if they agree to be tested or decline. If the patient agrees, I communicate this to the MD, and obtain the labs. I use the knowledge I gained from this SLO when caring for actual patients with an HIV diagnosis. An HIV infected person with a compromised immune system is at risk for health issues. The immune system becomes more weakened, and
