ACS codes of ethics are the benchmarks set by the Australian Computer Society for the ACS members, for enchanting the law and values.
There are mainly 6 codes of ethics forwarded by the ACS (ACS 2015).
1. Primacy of Public Interest: In these criteria, the public interest should be given main criteria regardless of your personal or business interest.
2. The enhancement of quality of life: The work done by you should uplift the quality of life of others affected by your work.
3. Honesty: This code of ethics explains that you should always be honest on what you are doing.
4. Competence: You should always use your knowledge competently so that you are the right candidate to your stakeholders.
5. Professional Development: You should improve and increase the capabilities of being professional and help staff and colleagues to do so as well.
6. Professionalism: As being the ACS professional, you are expected to practice and respect the code confronted by ACS and uplift the virtue of society.
In given case study, there are mainly 3 codes of ethics which are violated (Fergusonet.al. 2005). They are:
a. The primacy of public interest
b. The enhancement of quality of life
c. Honesty
1. The primacy of public interest:
It is clearly seen that the main idea of this law is violated. The public interest is not given any priority although weak database system having the negative consequence. Some clause that are violated are :
a. Preserve the CIA and privacy of others data and information
The ACA and NAADAC code of ethics will help the counselor with decision making. When the counselor is not sure how to act or say about an issue, it is important that she goes back and review the ACA and NAADAC code of ethics to make sure she is not being biased or discriminating a client in her practice. ACA and NAADAC is a guide that will help the counselor to reference.

Great post! I like how you applied participants from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. In section A of the ACA code of ethics (2014), it focuses on the counseling relationship, that they encourage to actively attempt to understand the diverse culture backgrounds of the clients they serve.
Before our session is to begin I need to make you aware of the privacy and confidentiality policy of the community center. HIPPA is a law enacted in 1996, to provide privacy standards to safeguard the client or potential client’s medical records and any healthcare information (HHS.gov). Here you have acknowledged you understand the HIPPA law. As a counselor I must follow a code of ethics as outline in the ACA 2104 Code of Ethic, it covers five ethical principles I must abide by respect for Autonomy(clients right to choose their own direction), non-maleficence(do no harm), beneficence ( to do good), justice( act in fair manner) and fidelity (client interest above the counselors) (ACAcounseling.org,2014).
A.2.a. Confidentiality, A.4.a. Dual Relationships: While working on Internship in Counseling I (SC5599115SUOL), I have encountered several instances in which, boundaries have to be established in order to work with relatives. For instance, a sixth grade male, whom happens to be a distant cousin, but is aware that we are indeed related, sought me out for advice as to how to better his relationship with his mother (A.4.a. Dual Relationships). Because I knew the family offhand, I was aware of the tumultuous relationship that the child and his mother shared. However, as a professional, I could not allow my previous knowledge of his relationship with his mother cloud my judgement on how to advise the young man. I set boundaries within the first few moments of the session that dealt with the explanation of confidentiality and that his feelings and opinions were in a judgement free safe zone (A.2.a. Confidentiality).
In my personal life I value, respect, honesty and loyalty to the highest regard. In the past my morals and values were tested, but never compromised. By creating a code of ethics it has reinforced my values and generated a guideline for upholding them.
At this point as a student, I believe I have a firm grasp on the foundations of the ACA Code of Ethics. The ACA Code of Ethics is organized for several valuable reasons. The ACA Code of Ethics serves the community, the members of the ACA, and helping professionals (CASEBOOK). The ACA Code of Ethics was created to protect and promote the wellness of the community, educate members of the helping profession and community, improve the practice of helping professionals, and protect the clients and the practitioners (LEGAL). The approach the ACA Code of Ethics uses is holding health professionals accountable for their clients. This allows clients to be protected and to be counseled in a safe and non-judgmental environment. There are five core values the ACA holds for all helping professionals. The first is enhancing growth and development for clients. The second core value is brining awareness to diversity and multicultural views. Third value is to promote social justice. Fourth value is building integrity and trust with the client. The last core value is practicing in an ethical manner (CASEBOOK). I understand the reason behind the ACA Code of Ethics, however I hope this class will teach me more about the individual codes.
The main points of the eight canons are that as an ASCE member one should hold safety paramount, serve with competence, act as a faithful agent, have a reputation by merit, uphold professional honor, continuing professional development, and treat all persons fairly. The ASCE code of ethics is a model for moral and ethical conduct but can only serve as such when it is examined, and its contents are understood.
The Code of Ethics “offers a set of values, principles and standards to guide decision making and conduct when ethical issue arise…specific applications of the Code must take into account the context in which it is
The code of ethics and conduct is a written set of rules and regulations that provides guidance to employees of an organization on how to conduct themselves and carry out their duties in line with the organization’s principles. A code of ethics is a set of written principles regarding conduct and behavior created by the organization to serve as a guide. The purpose of ethical codes is to give its employees, management, and any interested party a reference point that adheres to company policy, standards, and ethical beliefs. The code is made visible to the public to ensure professional integrity, quality, and to prevent misguided conduct. Regardless of the organization or governing body a code serves as a go-to guide because ethical issues can stem from anywhere at any given time. The Code of Ethics for Nurses is so dynamic because as technology changes, so does the code to ensure that updated knowledge is provided to healthcare workers as they address new ethical
