“AIM HIGH ALWAYS AND WORK ‘HARD’ TO REACH YOUR GOAL BECAUSE SUCCESS IS SWEET BUT IT’S SECRET IS ‘SWEAT’.” I have always been inspired by this quote to the extent that belief in the outcomes of hard work has always motivated me to be perseverant in nature. Having this in mind I have had a strong desire to pursue a course of liking for the post graduate phase of my academic life. Right from primary education, I had strived hard to be consistent in performance. In this note I owe greatly to all my teachers who had identified my talents thereby motivating me to study well and achieve more.
During school days, I worked hard and studied till I understood every minutia of the concepts discussed in each class. With optimal efforts

My undergraduate study provided me with a rich vastness in syllabus that helped me explore with vibrancy, various subjects that has finally helped me choose my domain of interest. During my undergrad years I found that I had a proclivity towards courses like SIGNALS AND SYSTEMS, DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING, PROBABILITY AND RANDOM PROCESSES and COMPUTER NETWORKS. My approach towards courses was to grasp the basic concepts so as to develop a ‘feel’ for the subject. My grades also reflect my attitude towards these courses. Hence with the basic skills honed, I completed a mini-project titled ‘ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLATION USING THE LMS ALGORITHM’ in MATLAB.
The hard work earned me the prestigious Merit Scholarship awarded by my college and I have a current CGPA of 9.09/10. Along with it I got the opportunity to become a Student Member of IEEE and IETE (THE INSTITUTION OF ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERS). This introduced me to get access to an ocean of highly useful information and facilitated me to get updated with the latest technology.
During June 2012 summer vacations, I had the opportunity to attend an in-plant training at BSNL REGIONAL TELECOM TRAINING CENTRE AT CHENNAI (BSNL is India's oldest and largest communication service provider). Here I learnt the basics of Digital Communication and Optical Fiber Communication, which helped me, enjoy these subjects and
Reading the article Lake and von Baeyer (2005) “Tips for Successful Students”, I realize that most characteristics are necessary for one to succeed as a student in any area of life. For example, one must ask questions and take notes in order to interact with the professor and further their knowledge in a particular subject. These two skills coincide together along with the initiative to achieve a certain stardom. One aspect of learning is never lonesome, though it is possible to be additionally gifted in one region over another.
I can relate to the above quote. During my first years of high school, I did not take my academics as seriously as I should have. I did not set goals so that I would not disappoint myself. I have learned my little decisions I made impacted my grade point average and class ranking. Also I realized I needed to make some academic changes.
If exceptional grades and numerous excellence awards are to indicate anything, I have succeeded academically thus far. However, such achievements are only possible because of my work ethic and determination. I pride myself on submitting my best work, pitting myself against my past performances. I remember my tenth grade English class; I was writing essays every week. I took every critique from my teacher and considered it for the next piece. Experience I gained from that class carried over into eleventh grade, where I achieved the highest English grade I have ever made. Even now, I look back at my older essays to help me write, so I know what works and what to avoid. Perseverance through school and desire to improve have carried me well, even through activities outside of my education.
I will engage in research, acquire hands-on experience, and apply what I learned in class in real life scenarios to make an impact on people’s lives. I will partake in service opportunities like my current roles in NHS and FNHS. My personality will benefit those around me. Honors College will place me in courses with exceptional students who are dedicated and focused. They will push my performance as a student. Even now, classmates gauge their performance with mine and vice versa. As a result, they motivate me to catch up or stay ahead of the competition. Competition is the catalyst for improvement. Likewise, I always encourage my peers to do their best, for I want to see individuals succeed. Moreover, there is no point enrolling in classes that won’t challenge me; where I am perched at the top. There is no intellectual growth there. Whereas, challenging courses and talented students help establish high goals for me. This symbiotic relationship between my peers and I will springboard us to greater
I believe that one should constantly learn and seek new skills and information since it enhances one’s understanding of the world, provide opportunities, and develop skills. Committed to learning, I am willing to spend the necessary time to cultivate my mind in the quest for knowledge and I achieved this through diligence, perseverance, discipline, and by providing the best work possible in the workplace around me. This ambition to push for excellence would be a beneficial trait to have in the future, for I still strive to put quality into everything I do, even when I do not receive any recognition or praise, and this attitude would help me make rapid strides not only in my academic career but my life overall.
During my high school years, I can confidently say I have excelled in my academic endeavours. This success is partially due to my desire to learn. I am always intrigued by the lessons and concepts that are at the core of assigned work. My passion for learning has facilitated my learning process; because I am usually interested in the material that is being taught, my ability to retain and understand information is heightened. My academic success is also due to my drive to do the best I can. Since grade nine, I have demanded excellence from myself in all academic subjects. I strived to perform to the best of my abilities in the first high school years so that I would adopt that habit early and take it with me through the senior high school years. Finally, my academic excellence
Any student can learn the mere content that is lectured by teachers; however, it takes a truly determined individual- a student who is striving for success- to understand the deeper meaning of the material: the ability to “think critically”. It takes a great level of maturity to apply an education to one’s daily life, which is a characteristic I can truly say that I obtain. To me, balance and discipline are two key factors in life. Whether this is academics, sports, or extracurricular activities, I ensure that I give 100% in everything I do. I know there is a much greater impact on my life when I give every ounce of effort I

For years now, many students have thought “How do I grow up too be successful?” but the truth here is that the people asking this, don't know what success really means to them. Accomplishment can be defined in a variety of ways, such as the amount of money a person makes, how happy an individual is by themselves, or even achieving in the simple things in life. You can, however, gain the characteristics needed to be successful in the future, for example, patience, determination, and a straight mindset. Accidental effects can also come into play, for instance dumb luck that can happen to anybody and the wealth gap between the person or the school they attend. These are just three of the most important traits a scholar must have in order to get somewhere in their future of education and in life down the path they may take.
Upon reviewing the “Best Strategies for success in school” I realize that I now apply many ideas I use to ignore to my school approach such as getting to know my instructors, breaking down projects into more manageable tasks to avoid procrastination, and staying healthy. All the strategies listed are important but the three key strategies that will remain with me the longest throughout my academic career will be to getting help with difficult class work early, keeping most
First off, who I am as a learner has changed over the past years. At times before, I wouldn’t take certain classes or assignments seriously and have learned my lessons when I failed. I believe having classmates at the time who weren’t as focused as I wanted to be, played a big role in my lack of understanding in classes. I understood later that if I felt learning was so important to me, I need to realize that it is my future and I needed to focus on my own. Having learner in my top 5 strengths defines me very well. Rath (2007) explains that, “The process, more than the content or the result, is especially exciting for you” (p.133). I believe this defines me as a learner because I enjoy having books in hand, opening up my notebook to write notes and learning new ways to understand the class. Regardless if the content is something I have to get in to or if I don’t do well on tests, I enjoy the process of studying and learning more even when I know I didn’t do so well; that is what motivates me. I believe as long as I keep this mindset and understand that this is my strength, I will continue to grow and further my education as much as possible. Even though I have failed a few of my last classes, I never let that stop me from continuing. Knowing that I have “failed” makes me realize I know I can do better and I try my hardest not to let it get me down. I will not get further if I don’t keep trying and as a learner I am a motivator to myself in my studies.
First, we mentioned study. A good student has to do study everyday. Study involves reading the textbooks, understand them, be able to explain it to others and sometimes memorize the most important concepts. As a
Before we can use success to motivate our students to produce high-quality work, we must meet three conditions:
To become a success in life, we all need to learn to become a good student in every aspect of life. Becoming a good student takes much work and self-discipline. There are many ways that a student can stand out from the rest of the class. These good students are distinguished by their attitude, intellectual skills, consciousness, and achievement.
The field of communications is one in which the technologies are changing on an almost daily basis. Numerous different technologies have been pursued over the past few years; each designed to essentially accomplish several basic purposes in terms of community service. Three of the most actively pursued application include interactive distance learning, video conferencing, and entertainment. While it is the first two, video conferencing and interactive distance learning, which would serve to the best advantage in terms of education and business; it is the last, entertainment which has the most appeal to the largest number of people. The application of various communications applications in
