NOTES: Point: The shape of Arisa's village is shaped roughly like a circle. The first attack hit the northern tip of the village, so they devided the border into sixty 'points' like those on a clock. During an attack, one soldier remains at each point in case they come from another direction. Flare Sights: In each of the four directions there is a wooden platform in a tree. They usually have whatever supplies a soldier would need (maps, food/water, etc). The duty of those stationed there is to alert the rest of the village during an attack, and direct soldiers to the general area of the first flare (as demonstrated by Elvey). Those who train their ability to feel psyche (like Storm) are called 'sensors'. Versers: Practicers of ancient magic. Versers tend to be peacekeepers, using their magic to heal and protect. Those who stray from this path and use their magic for war or to bring harm to other are called Varten. Butterfly: Arisa's childhood nickname. Shortly after her birth, a butterfly flew in through an open window, landing of her cheek, which earned her the nickname. Village: The population of the village in the story is about 1000, 300 of which are soldiers. Though the setting of the story is a small village, there are also large citys that surround it (some inspiration was taken from the Final Fantasy series, in which some games take place in traditional fantasy settings and others have modern or futuristic settings). Names: The names of Storm and Arisa were taken from other fictional characters. Arisa was the name of a character from the series Fruits Basket, whereas Storm was inspired by the character names Cloud and Lightning from Final Fantasy.
