What would you say to the girl who was raped and is pregnant? Would you say that she couldn't have an abortion, or would you tell her to suck it up and have a child? Abortion is a very controversial issue in the United States of America. Many people say that abortion is murder, but women should have a say over their own bodies and financial needs. Many studies show that women who are denied abortions are more likely to become unemployed, abuse their child, and have financial disadvantages. These are all unhealthy consequences when a woman is denied an abortion.
In a recent study at the University of California, 76% percent of the women who were turned away from abortion had unemployment benefits compared to the 44% of women who had the

Last year, 702,000 children were neglected and abused from the ages of 1 to 17 years old. Statistics show that women who are denied abortions and have the child are more likely to abuse their kid because they are unwanted. Abuse is disrespectful to anyone and everyone. Many people think that abuse is only physically, but there is also emotional and mental abuse. These types of abuse are sometimes worse than physical abuse because although their own physical bodies don’t hurt, they still have the feeling of their parent telling them that no one loves them. They are scarred by this disrespect and it carries with them forever,. Abuse can also cause types of diseases such as depression, suicidal thoughts, or even suicide in itself. The main reason that abuse happens is because the child is unwanted, and so when a women is rejected or turned away from an abortion, the child that is brought into this world that they think is happy is left in a world where it’s not.
Think if you had only 6 dollars, and a baby who needs clothes, food, blankets, a place to sleep, diapers, and other essential needs along with what you need to survive. Would you have enough money for all of those things to keep your baby alive, to keep you alive? Financial struggles are one of the consequences of the illegalization of abortion. Babies need supplies to survive, and they can’t do it on their own considering they can’t hold their own head
Every culture and society does not allow or consider abortion as a rightful act, and abortion is a name of destroying human life. Now a days our society faces several types of issues Abortion is one of the complicated issue for both ways health and society that’s why abortion become a very controversial issue that’s become debatable in politics. In addition, these researches will describe the different issues of abortion, such as, legal laws on abortion, restriction of abortions, rate of abortion and consequences of the abortion.
Nearly 81% of women who receive abortions experience subsequent mental health problems according to a recently published study by The Royal College of Psychiatrists. The study demonstrates that the aftermath of an abortion can result in higher rates of anxiety, depression, various forms of substance abuse, and suicidal behavior. As a result of the study, it shows that women who have an abortion face almost double the risk of mental health problems as women who have their baby. This outcome is due to the fact that most women who are terminating pregnancies “may feel a greater sense of loss, anxiety and distress due to lack of support”, as summarized in the Guttmacher Institute, a non-profit reproductive health organization. In fact, a five-year study shows that 25% of
The issue of abortion is notoriously controversial. Since the Supreme Court’s 1992 ruling in Casey v. Planned Parenthood, states have enacted different restrictions on the procedure. These restrictions vary from state to state. Nineteen states currently have laws prohibiting partial-birth abortion, and forty-one states strictly prohibit abortions except in cases of life-endangerment. One particularly incendiary area of abortion law is that of public funding. However, as of this year there are only seventeen states that cover abortion procedures through public funding. In this paper we will discuss federal abortion legislation, while describing the laws and political ideologies of the following states: Texas, California, New
For the better, since this those who have passed due to abortion-related situations have significantly decreased
The Controversy surrounding abortion remains a hot topic of discussion. The question remains whether choosing abortion is murder. What is the rationale behind what leads a woman to terminate her pregnancy? What are the challenges and situations women face that make giving birth to a newborn such an impossible task? A pregnancy that takes place at the wrong place, and time can have a lifelong impact on a woman’s ability to raise her children, and support the family. It seems to be inconceivable that the only way out of an unplanned pregnancy and an impossible-to-negotiate future (Probe Ministries).
Abortion is the most controversial issue that gives human beings the right by the constitution the privilege to pursue happiness. whereas, an abortion can be seen has putting the fetus out of misery because the fetus cannot feel pain. The debate of whether or not abortion should be legal or illegal continues to divide the nation, whereas, in the United State pro-choice contented that abortion is a woman’s right and should not be limited to laws and religious factors. They also claim that the fetus is a woman’s right legally or illegally and therefore, a fetus is not considered alive or counted in a census.
Abortion has been a very controversial issue in the United States for the past several decades. Many people think that is it morally wrong. To say that something is morally wrong is an opinion. Since everyone’s opinions are different on this topic there have been many court cases and protests against abortion. However there are a lot of people out there that believe that abortion is a rightful decision. My personal opinion on the abortion controversy is that every woman should have the choice on whether or not they are ready or are capable of raising a baby. Although there are many different choices one can make with regard to whether or not they are ready to raise a child, like adoption, it is still ultimately the woman’s decision on what they want to do. Carrying a child is a very stressful and sometimes painful process. There are a lot of financial decisions, health decisions, and future decisions that have to be carefully thought out before becoming a parent. Parenthood is a life-altering step one must take in life, and abortion is one way that a women can postpone or avoid changing their life in a very extreme way.
There are always a number of heated debates within the United States. These debates area always a hot topic and very controversial issues. Due to how controversial they are is why they become such largely debated topics with many people having very different views on the specific topic. For example there is a Democratic and Republican party in the United States people either stick with one side or the other due to their beliefs and sometimes can be neutral or on the other party’s side for certain topics. Abortion is a very controversial topic as it always has been all around the country but more specifically in the United States. There are two sides to the debate those who believe abortion should be legal and their organization is known as prochoice. On the other side there are the group of people who believe that abortion should not be legal and reverse the laws from what they are today this organization is known as prolife. It seems as though both of the organizations are very extreme while there can be some people who a neutral and believe in some ideas from the prochoice yet they also agree with some of the ideas from prolife. The two sides to the debate on abortion are known as pro-choice and pro-life although this topic is very controversial, today there is also a history of abortion laws and a very important case known as Roe vs. Wade which played a huge role in determining what laws on abortion are in the present.
Abortion is an important yet controversial topic of discussion in the US today. In Oklahoma, 8% of all pregnancies were aborted, and 76% were live births. Nationally, 18% of 6 million pregnant women chose to get abortions in 2011. Oklahoma accounts for 0.6% of abortions in the United States (“State Facts”). While there are many different thoughts on this issue, most people's opinions fall into two categories, pro-life and pro-choice.
Abortion is an extremely divisive issue in America. People on both sides of the issue are very passionate. People who subscribe to the notion that abortion is murder and should not be legal in most cases or not at all, are called Pro Life. Whereas, those who believe that it is the woman’s right to make decisions about their own bodies, including abortion, without the consent of the government are called Pro Choice. Abortion is such a polarizing issue, that it always comes up during campaign season and in some races people win and lose elections because of their stances on abortion. Abortion is a controversial issue in America.
When the word “Abortion” is heard, a heated argument often arises between couples, families, governments, and most commonly throughout women’s minds around the world. Over the past hundred years, the topic of abortions has been an ongoing issue. Many people agree to this practice, while others see it as completely absurd. In the past, present and most likely into the future, women have very little say in deciding whether to have an abortion or to have a baby. For many women, rape is a major issue. Without a choice, in most commonly a life or death situation, women are raped and impregnated by the man who raped them. In cases like this, the majority of women are not financially stable to have a child, nor are they physically or mentally prepared for the life they have ahead. This is when the discussion of abortion comes into place and the controversial argument begins.
Abortion has always been a controversial topic in the United States for decades. Abortion is like taking the life of someone without their permission so it is technically “murder”. There is no such thing as an unwanted child, millions of families in the United States are always willing to adopt. On the other hand, there are circumstances where a woman can barely care and sustain herself so chances are that she will not be able to take care of her child. Or when a rape occurs, having an abortion is not as bad as when a woman has sex without protection and knows she has the chance to get pregnant.
Abortion seems to be a major issue in the world today especially in the United States. With the political race for President just getting stated this issue will be on the forefront of many complains and debates. An article over abortion was published a few days ago and covers some troubling trends in state law that have been passed so far this year. States like Arizona and Arkansas have passed laws that further interfere in the doctor-patient relationships that surge mandatory delays for women seeing safe and legal abortion. Such laws are becoming more popular in parts of the Southern states that have impacted reproductive rights and banning abortion being covered by insurance. This issue is ethically relevant to what we have discussed earlier
Women have right to control their own bodies and decisions. As human free will, women can determine their decision for their future. It is sometimes inevitable to maintain their lifestyle that they have before they become pregnant. Although pregnant is the responsibility of both, woman and man, as a result of having sex, women should give up their career or study because pregnancy and childbirth are not as easy at all as just people generally think. Furthermore, women who have the abortion are in difficult condition, which is the unwanted. The Guttmacher institute research said that unintended or unplanned pregnancies were 41 percent of national pregnancies (Abortion Worldwide: A Decade of Uneven Progress). This high rate is from the unavoidable inability of
According to The Catholic Encyclopedia, abortion can be defined as the loss of a fetal life. Today, abortion is a very controversial topic. There are people who are pro-life, and they do not believe in allowing abortion. On the other hand, there are those who are pro-choice, and they believe that a mother should have the choice for whether or not she continues with the pregnancy. I believe the mother should have the right to choose whether or not to continue a pregnancy because of the particular circumstance a mother is in.
