Abortion Persuasive Speech

Specific Purpose: I want to argue that abortions is wrong and as humans it is our duty to stop it.

Terminating a pregnancy is never easy for anyone involved. Some abortions are done by selfish choice due to social pressure but others are due to tragic situations. These situations involve choosing between the mother surviving or the baby surviving.

My days are rarely empty and I definitely don’t get enough sleep, but I imagine that won’t change. I have school Monday through Friday and practice after school usually. Sometimes there isn’t space in the gym or it matters what season it is so we might have it in the morning. Though I have decided to not play basketball this school year, I am still busy. My regular school sports include soccer, softball, volleyball, and track. I have recently joined a club volleyball team and have a couple practices every week with tournaments starting soon.

I feel aborting a child is wrong and it makes me cry to think that someone would take away a life before giving it. In addition, you may have had sex and all, except that’s the first part. You must be committed to your child. How dare someone take away so many opportunities of your life and the baby’s. To tell the truth, if you cannot raise a child, have you thought of just not having one? It’s really all about choices. Plan for this, make a decision and choose what you’re going to do with this baby. Give life, don’t take it away. After a while, you realize that you made an expensive mistake on what a life and family you could have

To begin with, there has always been an extensive issue with the topic of abortion, why? Well, it’s a tough subject and can get extremely emotional and very defensive. Honestly, people just need to open up their eye’s and understand that it's murder and not just a choice. It is murder because two can create a blessing and the choice of aborting it, is more like a sacrifice for the reason a mother can’t carry a baby for nine months. Whether a person is a minor, young adult, or an adult and is in a awful situation that believes they cannot proceed with the pregnancy, they should know there are other opportunities. Specific Purpose: I want my audience to believe that every woman should have the option to give birth or have an abortion.

Whether you were at work, sitting at home watching TV, or not even born yet, there are many crazy things that happened in the year 1996 that you have never heard about. I was born on December 20, 1996 in Miles City, Montana. This means that while most of these crazy events were taking place, I was not even born yet. A few things that happened in 1996 include the vetoing of the ban on a procedure for late abortions, the Unabomber being captured and arrested, and South Africa receiving a new constitution.

Persuasion topic: Why abortion should be illegal I am writing this paper to persuade and inform you about why abortion should be illegal. Many people struggle when dealing with this topic because of women's rights and because a baby's life is on the line. My people think of it as a fetus, but i'm here to prove them wrong.

Abortion should never be the first option once getting pregnant. Some people say they are against abortion, but would accept abortion if it was rape. “Law & Order special victim unit” states that a women can’t become pregnant after rape because their body has a instinct to make their body reject the action and the eggs to be fertilized.(Law & Order SVU) Even though females claim rape on many cases if they become pregnant doctors have proven that the person had to of enjoyed some part of the sexual contact. People also get abortion for ignorant reasons that should never be legal to do. Females use excuses how they aren’t ready to have a baby yet, but they use other excuses as in they don’t want to ruin their body, or their relationships with people close to them. Furthermore they get an abortion so they don’t have to deal with it. “Women always loth to talk about the more visceral elements of female reproductive physicality are too ashamed, or unconfident in their reception, to discuss their terminations, even with friends or partners. This brings about the curious circumstance that, while pretty much everyone must have someone dear to them who has had an abortion, the chances of them actually discussing it with them are remote. Most women don't tell friends family or their spouse about getting abortions normally.”(Caitlin, M, n/d .Therefore it is usually not nobody but the mother's decision to get the abortion. Although most people would think relatives close to them would know about something major like this, they usually don’t.

Abortion, on the other hand, does not give the mother the luxury of being able to change her mind. Once the procedure is performed there is no turning back and many women will regret their decision. This can lead to depression, and feelings of guilt. The State of Oklahoma has laws in place that force the pregnant mother to have an ultrasound so that she hears the unborn child’s heartbeat. She must then wait a certain amount of days to make her final and possibly life-ending decision. The State of Oklahoma does not do this solely because of its position in the Bible belt. The state firmly believes that this gives the pregnant woman a crucial opportunity to make a fully informed decision that will hopefully evoke a feeling of love for her unborn child and help her to celebrate the life form that it is. Its morally the right thing to do is to keep your unborn child.

Specific Purpose: To persuade the audience to chose life Abortion is when a mother decides to terminate her pregnancy. Many people have different opinions about this ethical and moral issue.
