Around the world many women are receiving abortions legally and illegally. I believe receiving abortions should be against the law, with the exception of rape and incest. Taking the life of an unborn human being is not only cruel but wrong. The decision of taking another human beings life should not lie in our hands.

In every society whether it was legal or legal, abortions were used to control fertility. In the United States it was practiced legally until about 1880, by then most states had banned it except to save a woman's life. It was widely practiced through the entire period it was illegal. Illegal abortions are unsafe and account for 13% of all the deaths of woman because of serious complications. The most common grounds which an abortion is allowed is to save a woman’s life, in situations of rape or incest, and for economic or social reasons. In many circumstances where a safe abortion is legal, women risk their lives and many die because the obligation had not been met. In many areas unsupervised uses of misoprostol is being taken by those who cannot access services. Misoprostol is a drug used for early abortions, to treat missed abortions, and to induce labor. Every women of every social class seek terminations, typically a woman who ends her pregnancy is young, white, unmarried, poor, or over the age of 40. More than half of six million pregnancies each year are unplanned and, about half of them end up in abortions.
There are a couple types of abortions used, one form is medically. In this process you’re given various medications that are intended to end your pregnancy. Women that choose a medical abortion are willing to undergo a surgical abortion if the first one fails. The medical procedure has a success rate that ranges from 75-95%, with about 2-4% of failed abortions that require a surgical procedure. The process involves bleeding, often heavy just like a period, that must be differentiated from hemorrhage.
