“We all have our purpose, we all have our strengths.” -Beyoncé When a hero knows his purpose and strength in the world, everything starts to make sense. He can start to understand himself, and understand his true meaning in the world. Understand his worth. A hero is someone who strongly fights for what he believes in.
A hero would help others and put others before themselves. For Instance a hero would inspire others to be the best they can be. For example, Michelle Obama and Barack Obama are excellent examples of heroes for youths and people who are less fortunate. The Obamas show millennials that it is important to get an education and for everyone to take care of their health. To emphasize Michelle Obama expressed ,“I am not asking anyone to take the fun out of childhood. As we all know treats are one of the best parts of being a kid. All though Lincoln is dead he is still rember for stopping slavery. In White House Funeral Sermon for Abraham Lincoln the author states “He is dead; but cause he so ardently loved, so ably, patiently, faithfully represented and defended- not for himself only, not for us only, but for all people and their coming generations, till time shall be no more- that cause survive his fall, and will survive it.”(Gurley 77). Back in the 1800s slavery was rampant in the United States, until one president finally fought to dispose of it and for everyone to have freedom. President Lincoln would not rest until he was successful. In the poem O Captain! My Captain! The author states, “ O Captain! My Captain! Our fearful trip is done… O Captain! My Captain! Rise up and hear the bells. Rise up- for you the flag is flung- for you the bugle trills… The ship is anchor'd safe and sound our voyage closed and done.”(Whitman 78).
