In history, there are numerous impactful characters, but their impacts can be complete polar opposites. Of these impactful characters are President Abraham Lincoln and Adolf Hitler. The impacts posed by Lincoln such as serving as Commander in Chief during the Civil War and initiating the Emancipation Proclamation have impacted the United States, and other countries in positive ways. However parts of history credited to Hitler include the Holocaust and countless commissions of war crimes. Abraham Lincoln and Adolf Hitler have impacted the world in many different ways.

Many may consider the quote morally wrong, but Hitler applied it to his life. He convinced people to become his allies through the act of promising things that he wouldn’t keep. This is how he rose to power. He acquired the trust of a political party, and took the views of the party to the extreme. On September 15, 1935, German Jews were stripped of their citizenship. This was a result of Hitler’s Nuremberg Laws being issued. In 1933, when Adolf Hitler rose to power, the Holocaust began. During the Holocaust, 11 million people were killed. Hitler is responsible for the death of 11 million people, and only 6 million of them were Jews. According to many historians, if Hitler would have been captured during his reign, he would have been executed on the accounts of treason and various accounts of murder. During his rule over Nazi Germany, Hitler had committed 4 major commissions of war crimes. These acts include, crimes against humanity, war crimes, as well as planning, initiating, and waging wars of aggression, and participating in a common plan of conspiracy for the accomplishment of crimes against humanity.
