Hurricanes with female names are often underestimated and thus more people have died in female named hurricanes than male named hurricanes (Fixmer-Oraiz and Wood 97). This is a direct result of the idea of gender stereotypes seen throughout the chapter. The stereotype that women are fragile or weak hinders females in every aspect of life. Whether that be in sports, workplace, or the household. Sports announcers tend to focus more on a females outfit, hair, and bodies.
By 2030 the life expectancy is estimated to be 82.3 years of age, which means more people will enjoy a longer, healthier, and active lifestyle than ever before. The Baby Boomer generation will be the trailblazers that change the attitudes towards aging by remaining productive citizens in their communities and showing the younger generation that growing older does not mean that they are giving up the joys of living. In fact, many older adults will start enjoying life by having the time to do things that they were never able to do because of work and family responsibilities. Healthy seniors who are fortunate enough to be sufficiently prepared for their retirement are able to travel, spend time with family, go back to school, learn a new hobby, and much more.

Machayla is an outstanding student and a valuable part of her FFA chapter. Over the past three years she has developed into one of the strongest leaders in her chapter. Machayla is someone her fellow FFA members look up to and seek guidance from. She can be counted on and is a good organizer when something needs to be accomplished.
