An omnipotent individual that human race would one day call God decided to create an entire universe in six days. Then after resting on the seventh day, He was able to create man in His own image. And from that man’s rib, He formed a woman. God had lots of expectations from both his male and female human creations; He wanted them to rule over all creatures. But above all, He desired obedience. For instance, He placed them in a garden but was very clear on what to have and what not to have. Unfortunately, they disobeyed God by eating a forbidden fruit and consequently sin was introduced into the world. God retaliated by expelling them from that garden.
At one point, the human race became so wicked that God decided to wipe out nearly all of his creations to start out a brand new earth. To help execute this plan, He enlisted a “blameless” man named Noah. He, in return, built a large boat (according to God’s instruction) then try to round up some who would later survive this giant flood and leaving the rest to drown due to disobedience.
After the flood, people once again multiplied but so did sin (which failed to be washed away). God, in his unfailing love, decided to give the human race another chance by establishing his first ‘covenant’ through a faithful man named Abraham. This Abrahamic Covenant asserts that

And along this voyage, God called Moses on Mount Sinai to establish new rules, the ten commandments, for the people of Israel to live by. These new guidelines became a second covenant, called the Mosaic covenant. This time around, this second promise had a condition based on obedience. The Israelites must obey God’s commandments at all times in order for them to enjoy His presence. Then, the people of God spent forty years in the desert for their lack of faith. Sin was still prevalent, for many people decided to violate God’s Laws by worshiping
God was unhappy with man and decided to destroy both men and beast because of their wickedness. But God found favor in Noah and his family. Noah had to get ready because a flood was coming.
The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that very imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. So the Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the ground, man and beast and creeping things and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”
At the time of this story God saw how the thoughts of mankind were evil and he decided to destroy what he had created with a great flood intending to drown the earth. He chose Noah and his family to build an ark big enough to contain two of every animal to repopulate the earth. The world was flooded for a hundred and fifty days until the water subsided back into land.
Man had become wicked and only thought of wicked things which is why we had the great flood. The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time (genesis 6:5). Our wickedness as a civilization made God regret that he had made us; to me that means that we did and can be a slave to our flesh which is evil. The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled (genesis 6:6). He was going to wipe out everything he had made if it were not for one man Noah, he had found favor in the eyes of God. This is the first time that one man has saved the human race from being wiped out. Later Jesus saved us from a certain death and gave us eternal life.
In “Genesis” there is another story within it, I had read called Noah’s Ark. As everyone knows or should know that in Noah’s Ark there was a flood. God has seen and had noticed how chaotic and wicked everything was. What God wanted to do was erase any sort of life on what we call Earth. His purpose was not to destroy human life, but wipe take out the all the sin. In the midst of it all there was one man, Noah, among them all that God had
In the bible, God saw how corrupt the earth had become. God said that he was going to destroy what he created. He wanted to do it, he just didn’t want to kill all of man kind. So God told Noah to build a large ark. Noah was a righteous man that was not corrupt like the other people on earth. God told him that “I have decided to put an end to all flesh…”pg.45 row13. Noah did everything that God told him to before the flood started.
Throughout the history of the world, God has been working to bring humanity back to him. Due to the loss of constant communion in the fall, God set forth multiple promises to eventually establish his eternal Kingdom, the New Testament, is the culmination of these promises. The Gospels are the most specific in how Jesus Christ fulfilled the covenants God made with Abraham and David. More importantly he is the fulfillment of the new covenant, which washes away sin and brings humanity back into communion with God. What is modeled in the Gospels is reaffirmed in Acts, by the way the church is to function according to the culmination of the Covenants. Acts begins to reveal the great mystery that is the inclusion of the Gentiles in God’s covenant. Paul’s Epistles take the culmination a step further and defend the idea that the fulfillment of God’s covenants does not just affect the people of Israel, but the Gentiles as well. The General epistles teach that the people are no longer bound by the mosaic covenant since the New Covenant was fulfilled via Jesus Christ. Yet practice of the law is still an important factor of the Christian life style even if superseded by the New Covenant. Revelation shows that covenants are leading up to the lord’s victory and salvation of his people. The sins of the Jews and Gentiles are washed away by Jesus the blood of the lamb so in reality the battle is already won because of the New Covenants fulfillment in Jesus. It is clear from
the LORD, but they shall not come near, nor shall the people come up with him." Exodus 24:2) The Mosaic Covenant is established at Mount Sanai when Moses is given the Ten Commandments.
Was the covenant not to compete signed by David Prime, enforceable under Arkansas case law as of December 31, 2004 when: (1) it restricted him from working in “the business” of developing, manufacturing and commercializing related products and services like that of GWI; (2) he was restricted to the geographic region of Little Rock Arkansas and (3) when he was given a time restriction of 18-months?
The covenant for the Jewish people is the most important aspect to Christianity because it establishes the understanding of Abraham and the Israelites dedication to God’s law. Ehrman 51 states, “God had chosen Israel from among all the other nations of the earth to be his special people.” This covenant promise from God himself stated that if the Israelites followed Gods law and stayed true to him prosperity and favor would be shown to them. During this time it was rare for people to worship one god only, in fact it was more common to worship many different gods, but due to the covenant proclaimed over Israel we see the development of monotheism and the dedication of the Jewish people on worshipping the one and only “God of Creations.” (Ehrman
It all began in the covenant with Abraham, God promised many things to him. God promised numerous descendants, land, and a relationship with him. God’s first blessing would provide Abraham with numerous descendants, which in turn would become a great nation. His second blessing would provide him and his family with a place to call home. His third blessing states that Abraham will have a relationship with God. This means that, anyone who blesses Abraham will be blessed by God, anyone that curses him will be cursed. In return for all of these promises, Abraham and all of his male members and descendants were circumcised to let God know that they belong to him.
Theologically, a covenant (used of relations between God and man) denotes a gracious undertaking entered into by God for the benefit and blessing of humanity and specifically of those who by faith receive the promises and commit themselves to the obligation which this undertaking involves. The Abrahamic Covenant is an unconditional covenant. God made
I think that it is safe to say that after the flood and the covenant that God made with Noah, it was the start of a new beginning for man. The covenant that God made with Noah is one that is unconditional. Bob Deffinbaugh writes in his article, The Noahic Covenant-A New Beginning that, “Some covenants were contingent upon both parties carrying out certain stipulations”. “Such was the case of the Mosaic covenant”. “If Israel kept the law of God, they would experience the blessings and prosperity of God”. “If not, they would be expelled from the land (Deuteronomy 28)”. “The blessings of the Noahic covenant were not conditional”. “God would give regularity of seasons and would not destroy the earth by a flood simply because He said so”. “While certain commands
There are two broad categories of religions that people believe on and they include the Abrahamic religion and Eastern religion. The two largest religious groups have some common beliefs and have diverse different aspects of explaining life and the creator of the universe. The Abrahamic religion includes Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. The Islamic religion is a common religion practiced by Muslims all over the world. It subscribes to Allah teachings as professed by Prophet Muhammad (Ali, 2011). There have been times in Islamic history when men we counted as a superior creation as compared to women. They were seen as lesser beings that have no social and human rights at all. They were considered to serve as a means for men sexual gratification and the subservience. However, things changed in the Arabic land in the past fourteen hundred years when Islam appeared.
