Democracy Or Absolutism `To start with, in the eighteenth centuries in Europe they had many forms of government, but these two turned out to be more successful the the rest. So starting of with Democracy a form of government where everyone is eligible to go for government. Absolutism would be when only a specific group of people is allowed to go for government. Beginning with in which i believe would be more suitable for Europe in the eighteenth centuries. In my opinion i believe a democracy was best fit for Europe, I say this because in most of the documents within the packet all state their beliefs in which turned out to be a government of democracy.

Is Absolutism a better form of government than a Representative Democracy? It most definitely is! Absolutism has existed for hundreds of thousands of years for a reason; This is because Absolutism runs more fluidly, Most absolute rulers are good leaders and can help make a society thrive, and votes of a representative democracy can be tampered with give unjust rulers. Many people believe that absolutism helps a political system run more efficiently, this meaning with one ruler things will get done because there is no one arguing with that ruler's power.

Absolutism proved to be ineffective during the reign of absolute monarchs from the 1600s and 1700s. Although monarchs can force their subjects to conform, revolts and rebellions cannot be avoided. Absolutism is ineffective compared to a democracy.

As Europe created nation-states, the divine power and extreme wealth of the absolute monarchs controlled countries such as Russia and France. While in England the political system was more centralized, attempts were made to limit royal power and protected the rights of the governed. There has always been a battle of which political system worked better. Studies have shown that both absolutism and democracy have their advantages and disadvantages. There are various differences and similarities between the development of the nation-state ruled by an absolute monarch like in France and in a democratic government like in England.

Aristotle saw democracy as the pinnacle of the benevolent types of the government forms that existed in his time. But what is it that makes democracy better than the others? To find an answer to that question, one must first take a look at the opposition. One must understand what the other types of government types lack that democracy has.
