What do I want from my life? I have many goals in my life that I wanted to fulfill; one of those goals is to have economic security. During these past 18 months that our country was submerged in recession, it pressed me to reflect on how important it is to have economic security. During that period of time, I was reflecting about which would be the best plan of action that can help me to reach my goals. I came to the conclusion that the only good plan was to go back to the University and to obtain a degree. I currently work in a company as a general manager, but that does not give me the security that I need to project my future. And this was the main reason, why I decide to enroll in DeVry University. Now that I’m an active student, I …show more content…

Loyola University Chicago has various opportunities that help engage students in different activities that can help them raise awareness of the outside world environment. Loyola’s mission statement states that “We are Chicago 's Jesuit Catholic university- a diverse community seeking God in all things and working to expand knowledge in the service of humanity through learning, justice, and faith.” Under this statement, students are reminded of engaging themselves with the community and provide service that can help the community and demonstrate God’s faith over all purposes. Through the commitment of “learning, justice, and faith”, as a student, I am inspired to do more as a person for the community. As an international student, I am very grateful of being able to participate in the Engaged Learning Community of ISOM (Information Systems Operations Management), and earn more knowledge and awareness of the case study provided in class.

The MSMC has established the mission, vision, and values statements within their organization, which is extremely important to them because of the importance of management. Both Larry and Sarah must believe in these core values because of the improvement in privacy and safety for their organization. The purpose should be to sustain and establish patients’ needs in a well-defined mission, vision, and value statement. Larry and Sarah must work together with culture groups or teams to provide patients with their ideal care. This aspect of care may connect with different organizational branches to create a strong relationship with their local community as they devise ways to implement an effective standard based system that ensures safety. Hence,
When I committed to Maywood University I did not have the “Mission statement” in mind, I was not thinking about what their “Core values” were. Honestly, they didn’t even cross my mind once. All I was focused on was that they had my program and it was in commuting distance from where I live. Reflecting back on this diction, when I accepted Marywood University as my school and home away from home, I was also accepted their mission and values. Committing to a college is a big deal and will have a lasting impression on the rest of my life. Coming here I had and had two main goals in mind: a personal goal of developing into the person I will be for the rest of my life by becoming a well-rounded person, and a professional goal of becoming a successful
The mission statement of Judson University does describe that they are an Evangelical Christian university and work on developing leaders that are representative of God. Additionally, work on preparing the students with the knowledge and skill required to enter the workforce. I agree with your statement that "mission statement details those factors
Anita Satterlee defines a missions statement as follows: “A mission statement is like an introductory paragraph: it lets the reader know where the writer is going” (Satterlee, 2013).
The mission statement of University of Michigan contributed greatly to my attraction to the school. Specifically, the goal to “challenge the present and enrich the future.” I think that this is a goal that should be shared by all schools, because education is an investment in the future of the world. By educating the youth today with the knowledge of the past, we continue to improve our future. I personally identify, and I believe that Universtiy of Michigan does also, with the quote “Society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they shall never sit in.” It is important for people today to invest in a better future by being curious, pushing limits, and exploring our world. This is embodied by University of Michigan’s mission statement

My life mission is to use my Energy, Sense of Humor and Empathy to Care, Love and Encourage. My world would be better if I am capable of reducing poverty or starvation throughout the world and provide education for the less privileged children because I feel that everyone should be given the right to learn. My world would also be better if the human rights of the blacks are recognised and if there are lesser wars because too many precious lives are sacrificed during wars.
They must express objectives that can be tested -- there has to be some way to determine whether or not an organization is meeting its goals.
Examples are a great way to understand what a mission statement is and what it should look like. One example of an effective mission statement is that of the Xerox company, which states, “We believe improving the flow of work is core to helping our clients be more successful and making the world a better place. By providing our customers with business process services, printing equipment, and software and solutions, we enable greater productivity, efficiency, work capacity and personalization” (Xerox at Glance, 2016). This is an outstanding example because it includes the company’s core values, the ways they plan to make a difference, and their goals. These components were all part of the steps to writing a mission statement (steps two, three, and four). The Xerox mission statement begins by stating their core values which include, “improving the flow of work”, “helping our clients be more successful”, and “making the world a better place” (Xerox at Glance, 2016). Next, the mission statement incorporates the ways they are going to make a difference and put their core values to use by “providing our customers with business process services, printing equipment, and software and solutions” (Xerox at Glance, 2016). The mission then states, “we enable greater productivity, efficiency, work capacity and personalization” (Xerox at Glance, 2016), showing that Xerox’s goals are to help businesses grow and succeed through the use of their products and services, that were mentioned in
I see myself progressing in my field as well as in my education. I find my education challenging and motivating. I can see many challenges ahead and therefore I am willing to invest my time learning all the skills and knowledge of my field towards professional advancement. I hoped to be offered in a management role in 5 years, looking to move on to greater things. I'm prepared to learned new things and contribute to the overall success of the organization in a number of ways. The only specific ''plan of willingness'' is that the opportunity be within my ability to learn, interesting enough for me to dig and do a good job, and the compensation increase a reasonable amount in relation to the demands of the
Do you like to dream the impossible? I do! And it was in one of this ‘Creative Thinking’ that I gave life to my Daedalus University.
