My main goals to assure my academic success in my first semester in college are achieving a 3.0 GPA and prioritizing my school work before anything else. To begin with, making sure to attend all my classes is important because it allows me to be able to learn the material from my professor as well as being able to ask questions to anything I do not understand. Secondly, making sure to complete all my work for every class including work that does not count as credit. Completing all the work assigned to me will enable me to practice the material and maximize my knowledge on the topic. Studying for all my class will further my understandings of the material and better prepare myself for quizzes or exams. Other small goals are limiting my time

While being responsible for our academic success, prioritizing work to achieve goals can be valuable to students without a success driven mindset. Responsibility and action along with ethics help set the path for proper results and set standards for academic achievement. As I explore this new endeavor in my life, I will outline my failures, successes and the lessons I have learned along the way.
I have two goals for my first year of college. My first goal is I want to enroll in at about three to four classes every semester. I am in four classes this semester. I do not want to be in college for over five years. My second goal is I want my grade point average to be at least a little over 3.0. My first week of college has been difficult, so it would be an accomplishment if I earn a 3.0 or higher in my first year of college. Taking about three to four
In learning my critical thinking traits, I have discovered that I need to get the facts together and evaluate them based on my ethical characteristics. This process of thinking has directed me to understand that things have to be understood and communicated correctly in order to paint the picture of information that I want others to see or hear. This plays an important part in my professional life. When preparing for presentations or work reports, all data needs to be analyzed and
A child's main focus in life has always been being successful in school in order to achieve many riches in adulthood. Many people have supported these children to reach this goal by preparing them for about two decades. In return, their family members expect them that these clueless kids return the favor by going to college. Some have put their immense effort beyond their reach, but unfortunately there is a vast majority of students that do not have what it takes both academically and emotionally to earn a college degree or to even meet their own personal standards. Although they received all the help they could get, their parents forget to even consider that what matters the most for these young adults to go to college is their own willingness
Education has always been a major part of my life. While growing up, I always knew that I would graduate from high school and then continue my education in college. That has always been my plan and now I am making it a reality by attending college here at Utah State University. There are many reasons as to why I am here. The first reason would have to be that I made a goal when I was younger that I would attend college. I am very dedicated to any kind of goal that I make and going to college to pursue a career that required a higher education has always been a dream of mine. I like a challenge and I feel that not just anyone can come to college. Those who attend college need to have the right mindset to have the motivation and dedication
There are so many elements that go into academic excellence in graduate school. However, a person can overcome any obstacle that hinders them from giving it their all by merely setting goals and following them. As for myself, the best possible way that I could manage my life stressors as well as my time management is to apply what I already know. If I could keep my mind focused through setting academic goals for success and sticking to them with skills that I have developed for myself in the past I could easily become not only a great writer, but also

Life is a continual learning process, which requires a strong method to develop better ways of apprenticeship. Personally, being able to obtain a higher education gives me an opportunity to be better in many ways. Everyone should have any personal goals in life in order to survive, prosper and succeed in every journey that life gives. As for me, being a University of Phoenix student, I hope to achieve all of my goals on which I have been trying to pursue and obtain through the years. As a student that has achieved a high-level of academic success while staying active in extra-curricular activities and working a job I have faced a daily challenge of balancing the workload. From a social perspective, I feel it is important to be active in a variety of extra-curricular activities; however, from an academic perspective it is critical to put in the time necessary to maintain good grades. Along with that, from a financial perspective it is important for me to earn an income to save for my college expense. It has not always been easy, and through the last few years I have learned some valuable life skills from this challenge.
My academic goal is to graduate Argosy University with a bachelors degree in Forensic Psychology in three years time. Forensic Psychology is the study of the criminal mind, in a nutshell. The main motivation to achieve this goal would be intrinsic. I love asking questions and knowing the answers as to why people do what they do, and in a criminals case, what led them to committing the crime. This goal, however, may have some extrinsic motivation as well. Being knowledgeable about certain behaviors that criminals poses may help solve or even prevent a crime. In addition, having a degree will help open different paths in life, ones that may present me with greater job opportunities. My attitude toward the learning process will help my achievement of each goal because I am eager, determined and motivated. My greatest desire is to succeed in life, and obtaining an education is one thing I know will help me. I perhaps will need to make some adjustments along my journey. I do not know yet if I will find another educational path that intrigues me the most. For now, I do not feel that any adjustments need to be made.
For as long as I can remember, my parents have told me that I need to work hard and get good grades so that one day, I may receive enough scholarships to attend college. Coming from a low-income household, college wasn’t an expectation but rather a dream; one that could only be achieved through a dedication to my academics. Fortunately, I love to be challenged and most of my decision to attend college derived from a personal desire to learn.
Going to college has been a dream of mine growing up. I am the first ever in my family to go to college but figuring out how to pay for it has been a challenge. I desire to achieve my academic and career goals and this scholarship can help me succeed in my journey.
