Accidents Happen According to Edgar Snyder & Associates, there were 2,823 motor vehicle accidents among people ages 13 to 19-years-old in 2012. On a rainy day in October of 2015, when I was 18 years old I got into a car wreck while I was driving to work. Be careful when driving, you never know when an accident will happen to you. When I woke up that morning I had no idea what the day had in store for me. To start off, I had gotten up late and I was rushing through my morning routine. I needed to be at work by 8:30 am and I kept my eyes on the clock. I really did not want to be late, after all I had only just started working there a few weeks ago. When I finally had myself all ready, it was 8:20 am. It takes me fifteen minutes to get to work in Springfield from Williamsville and I knew that if I wanted to get there on time I would need to hurry. As I went outside to my car I noticed that it was sprinkling rain. I started my car and I was off. I was speeding and trying to make it through every light without stopping. All the while I was still concerned with the music I had playing, constantly changing the station. I was getting close to work now and it was about 8:27 am. I had just passed over the Sangamon River and was approaching Freedom gas station where I needed to turn left onto Dirksen Parkway. The light rain was still coming down as I got closer to the turn lane. I soon realized that quite a few cars were backed up at the light ahead of me. I started to get over into
