Hence it make sense that provision of proper facilities is one the key factors that makes the residence hall environment more desirable for students. Besides If the students are satisfied with their residence hall they might even experience less depression, and less mobility problems. In spite of the key role of provided facilities on residence halls; studies tend to ignore the students’ preferences for different types of facilities. Hence, to fill a part of gap in literature, the main goal of this study was to uncover some aspects of students’ preferences toward facilities and amenities in residence halls. There are three questions for this study: 1. What is the degree of students’ preference for specific facilities in residence hall? 2. What are the most 5 preferred facilities and amenities for students? 3. Is there any difference between gender, nationality, race and study level in the facilities and amenities preferences? The finding of this study could be useful in planning of residence hall facilities from several perspectives: firstly understandings of the students’ housing preferences can aware the university organizers of their customer real needs and requirements.
