The suggestion to become an actuary came to me first from a professor in my first year of undergraduate studies. Based on my class performances, he felt that I have talents and gifts for the actuary profession. After doing some research and talking to professional people around me, I started to have a clear picture of what an actuary is. Some people define actuaries as “people who know how to calculate money-related risks”, and others define it as “people who can provide necessary money-market analytic tools to help diversify risks and ensure financial stabilities”. In addition, I see an actuary as someone who understands risk, respects risk and can seek for hidden opportunities from risk.
With the goal of becoming an actuary in mind, I chose
Moreover, both actuaries and physical therapists are high demand jobs. According to Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook Handbook (2010), demand for actuary in United States will see a projected growth rate of 27% through 2020. The education process and examination procedure for becoming fully qualified actuaries can be very demanding, causing this profession to remain very small in the world. As a result, actuaries are in high demand, and they are highly paid for the services they provide. The reason for actuaries to be high in demand is because the students that were studying actuarial science in college tend to change majors into an easier course because they find it hard to cope with the tremendous pressure. For them, it was very stressful to take a series of professional papers where the probability to pass those exams were extremely low. There are a number of my friends which started off their first year of college studying actuarial science, changed into some easier course later on, such as Business Administration. The journey of becoming physical therapists is also not easy. All physical therapists must receive a graduate degree before taking the National Physical Therapy Examination that allows them to practice. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook Handbook (2010), demand for physical therapists in United States will see a projected
Joining my school’s Associated Student Body (ASB) has allowed me to improve the environment and atmosphere at school while also giving myself a greater voice. As the recent class secretary and future class president, I am committed to enhancing the experiences of my peers in high school. In a school that is vastly underfunded and with many students living in poverty, it becomes hard for students to become spirited and support our fundraisers because of the mediocre quality of our school as well as simply being unable to afford things. My class and I are dedicated to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to make the most of their high school experience, regardless of their background. Actuaries have many duties they analyze and measure uncertainty and both cost of risk. They heavily use statistics, financial theory, and mathematics to determine the risk that an event will happen and or occur; as a result, testing , designing , and testing is a included. In addition, they give a hand in clients and businesses developed policies which minimizes the cost of a risk. Actuarial work with insurance industries and are indeed essential.
During my first five years of practice, I want my roles to be that of helper, educator, professional, and researcher. As I progress through the profession, I will be assisting clients in accomplishing their goals while educating them in ways to do so effectively in a professional manner. In congruence with this, I also hope to do neurological research on individuals with neurological conditions and sensory integration of premature infants.
After speaking to my academic advisor I decided to change major. I don't want to do political science/administrative studies, but rather a political science law and society. I'm more interested in being a defense attorney or politician than a businessman. I am planning to take 17 unites next quarter. Since I have 5 classes from a community college and one AP credit I am a sophomore standing.
I established and founded 1506 in 2017. Having a 20 year background in business and currently a Certified Stress Management Coach , I decided at first to use 1506 as a platform for adversity and surviving it. Then during a pivotal point in my life, figured its to grand to be boxed into those categories. 1506, means to me , to survive , to achieve ,and stand on purpose with the foundation of faith.
My love for the business aspect of healthcare has contributed to me wanting to make a difference in other people's lives, and help improve the lives of many people. That's why one unforgettable experience that has taught me to be firm in spite of difficulty and the true meaning of tenacity, was when I got the opportunity to work as an administrative assistant at an accountant firm. I was a recent graduate from an community college and I knew I wanted to do more in my life ,but I wasn’t sure how or where to start . I decide to apply for multiple office jobs not expecting to get a call back, but hoping I would.
I would love to become a staff member again on Viper as you can see from my extensive amount of applications. I feel like becoming a staff member will double the love I have for Viper. Also, of course, I have a great passion to help out on the server and help to clear out the server of cheaters and rule breakers as I believe these types of people ruin the experience for others by, as I say later in my application, using the skills I have learnt from previous experience and. Furthermore, I recently decided to stop cheating, something I had done for a very long time, without staffing or cheating I have no motivation to play and have been playing mini games for the last month. Also from this experience, I have gained a broad knowledge of the act of cheating and hiding
The University of Michigan offers a myriad of options for underclassmen to fulfill their goals. From the School of Kinesiology to Nursing and everything in between, it can be downright overwhelming. For me, however, it was easy. The College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) is where I belong.
Experience in, or the ability to acquire specific knowledge of, the health and human services and government relations and policy development
The personal statement is very important to applicants who intend to be admitted to an undergraduate or graduate school. The role of a personal statement is to make applicants be different from other applicants. It mainly serves the purposes of persuading the admission committee of applicants’ great passion for the study field, explaining their experience that shaped their personality, demonstrating their longtime desire and commitment for the degree, and showing their life goals. What the admission committee is looking for in a personal statement varies from school to school, major to major. Art and Design is a unique program requiring its prospective students to be different in every aspect. The Art and Design Admission Committee is looking for a student who has creative potential in all respects. Hence, for those who want to apply to the School of Art and Design, they should understand how to present their stories, experiences, practice, goals, philosophy, inspirations, and aspirations in a creative way.

I am applying for the Insurance Studies Scholarship as a demonstration of my commitment to the Risk Management and Insurance profession. Upon entering college I knew I wanted to study business because I have a logical thought process. My career focus was further fine-tuned last semester when I took Business Statistics, SCMA 301 with Professor Custer. I found the class enjoyable, in addition to being fascinated by calculating probability. Furthermore, it sparked my interest in studying Risk Management and Insurance.
