This will help me gain much needed behind-the-scenes experience at a dental office and I will be aware of the culture of dental office here in Canada. My main aim is to clear the NBDE exam, the test requires paying a fee and scheduling a date to take the test at a test center. The Equivalency Process consists of three Assessments. After completion of the Assessments I will give the NDEB Written and clinical examination (NDEB, 2015). I hope I clear my exam, after clearing my exam I will be granted licence to practise as a dentist in Canada. After getting my license my last and ultimate goal is to open up a dental clinic here by purchasing an office space, obtaining the necessary equipment and supplies, and hiring dental assistants, hygienists, and receptionists. Potential barriers To clear NBDE exam could be the first potential barrier as there is lots of competition and the pass percentage is too low (around 50 percent). Less knowledge about the clinical ways of working in dental clinics in Canada can be challenging. To run a good clinic it is important to remain constantly up-to-date about measures on how to deal with newer strategies and dental materials.
I am a confident communicator with a keen interest in dentistry and eager to begin my career
They must be ready for community practice this means fillings and non-surgical extractions. The training also includes an additional 400 hours alongside a dentist in the field, because of their profession they are constantly leaning. They do require fewer years than a dentist but as a graduate they have all the experience in the procedures that they will be performing. Also since it is less time as a dentist a mid level dental provider carries less debt the a dentist, but there education is still focused on a lot.
On March 7th, 2016 I visited Eckman Family Dentistry for my career exploration project. Eckman Family Dentistry is a private practice with hours during the week from 6:30am to 5:00pm during the weekdays. The facility is closed during the weekend. The office size was medium sized (10’ by 15’). There were ten treatment rooms, and one x-ray room. Client age vary from six months of age to elderly. Client’s diversity is primarily Caucasian.
My professional goal is to become more advanced and precise in my work and knowledge by getting a dental degree in the United States. Also, I want to make our society healthy by providing exceptional dental care to all age groups and to various population. I want to concentrate especially on patients with special needs such as mentally and physically disabled, the elderly, medically compromised and the underserved. I also want to contribute for research to treat people better. Moreover, I would like to participate to help future dental students and make them outstanding dental professionals.

If one was to be occupied by this jobs, their services would be demanded frequently, whether you are finishing your certification program or in your career already.
I have strongly believe that i have solid groundwork that require to becoming a dental hygienist. a. For instant, I am a person that is hard working, ethusiastic and energytic. Despite of working in any field, people must work hard to be successful, especially medical field. Moreover, i not only work hard, but I also endure high work pressure. In detail, in previous time, when i was an accountant, i worked 18hours a day to accomplish our scheme.
After marriage, I had moved to California. There I wrote NBDE Part 1&2. Then we had to move to India and later Vancouver, Canada. According to healthcare regulation of Canada, I couldn't work as a Certified Dental assistant because it is a long procedure to get the certification and licensure. Initially, It was tough to get an observership in Vancouver but with patience and perseverance, I got this opportunity of shadowing an amazing dentist. Here I am shadowing Dr. Basant Abdel Rahman during different clinical procedures like Implant placement surgery, Implant crown restoration, RCT, extraction of the impacted tooth, restoration, veneer and other dental procedures.

On my work placement at Grandholm Dental Clinic, I shadowed several dentists, observing how they were able to diagnose and treat
ith a weary face and sweaty palms, I walked into the gloomy dental offices as a yearly ritual. The intimidating environment of the office made me feel knots in my stomach. As a child I never enjoyed visiting dentists because I was convinced that these humans were merciless people who could not care less if I was in pain. Ironically, the lifetime career I seek for now is the career I disliked before. The decision to become a dentist developed when I had the desire to give children a better experience and a different perspective on professionals of this field. From my experience, the dentists were not gentle and did not give me time to collect myself before pulling a tooth out. Orthodontics is a profession that I am pursuing since I have consistently desired to work in a healthcare career that enables me to help people by using my interest and talents in hand motor and communication skills. I strive for perfection and work patiently, as well as diligently, which will help me throughout this profession. There are skills that I need to obtain such as shadowing or volunteering in a dental office, which is also part of the educational preparation needed for dental school. All of these talents combined are essential for a typical day in dentistry in which I need to create a safe and comfortable environment for the excessive amounts of patients daily
The job outlook is good for the dentistry profession because there will always be people who have teeth that need to be looked at and there will always be a need for people who can skillfully work inside one’s mouth. The pay is also very good according to Reilender who states that “one may earn up to $100,000 starting out as a practitioner” (11). Once a person is well into his or her career, he or she

A Why have you applied for postdoctoral training in general dentistry and what are your expectations of a program?
Career progression is the aim for most workers, but career development is not something most of us think regularly. But without proper understanding of what we want from our career and how we can achieve our goals quicker, we can quickly end up dissatisfied with our jobs.
There comes a time in life where individuals have to leave school to join the world of work whereby they will work their way up to the top. This is where career development comes into place.
