In this year alone there has been 310,167.8 abortions and every minute the number grows. There being many reasons that women have abortions, but also people who don't agree that abortion is the best option and believe that the baby should be placed for adoption. The fertility rates for women aren’t as high as they used to be. Only 59.8% of babies are born to every 1,000 parents between the ages of 15-44. Less children are being born, and more are being aborted. All pro-lifers believe that if you get pregnant you should take of the baby, since many women can’t have children.. “Opponents, identifying themselves as pro-life, contend that personhood begins at conception, and therefore abortion is the immoral killing of an innocent human being. Pro-lifers feel that the baby is automatically a person as soon as the baby is conceived, and the pro-choicer's think that the fetus isn’t actually a person until the second to third trimester. “ The issue of abortion hinges on the question of personhood. Nearly everyone believes that persons have a special moral status: Taking the life of another person, barring extreme circumstances, is a grievous sin.
