Technological advancement in health

The three words that are of interest to me from this week articles are;

1. Ubiquitous: something or someone that seems to be everywhere.
(Oxford south Africa, 2010, p 642)
2. Stupendous: very large or extremely impressive.( Oxford South Africa ,2010, p590)
3. Analogously: A comparison between two things that shows how they are similar (Oxford south Africa, 2010, p 22 )
Technological advancement in health As globalization is sweeping across the globe, so also is technological advancement. Every aspect of our lives is being affected by information technology. The advancement in technology is enhancing knowledge and breaking down limitations, barriers and obstacles. Today I want to talk about how technological …show more content…

“Many of these technological advances in medicine have actually resulted in an improved quality of life and also helped to lengthen life. However, despite all of the positives, there are still a few negatives for patients that are caused by medical technology.” (Maverick Angels, 2016)

The negative impacts of technological advancement in health
1. Health care is becoming too expensive and out of reach for the common man.
2. Some of these equipment also have severs negative effects on the patient.
3. Health care providers are depending too much on their equipment, thereby missing out on some important elements that computers does not understand.
4. Loss of jobs, many low income workers have lost their jobs to machines and computers.

To prevent these negative impart these equipment should be made more efficiently, and also health care practitioner should not depend more on their equipment. Training should be given regularly to the low in come workers.
