Electric Cars
There have been many debates on whether or not electric cars are better than gas cars both on the race track and in everyday life. Many people think that electric cars are bad because they would have less power and speed or because it would run out of battery very quickly. These assumptions couldn’t be further from the truth.
Much advancement have been made in the world electric powered cars. People think that electric cars are a new thing but they were very popular in the 1900s until there was a sudden rise in petrol engines accompanied by batteries killed electric cars by 1920. However with the recent improvements in battery technology and power electronics electric cars have made a strong comeback, in addition to that their price, practicality, and the promise of the vehicle not polluting the environment in the ways that the gas powered cars do have made them very popular among today’s youth.
There are plenty of great advantages of having an electric car and one the more popular reasons are the self driving features and cell phone app controls. The electric car company Tesla have been the biggest company to integrate these features in their vehicles, these cars can drive you where you need to get to without help from the driver and can be called to your location by use of the cell phone app. The newest feature the company has come up with is the pedestrian avoidance mode,
This book, written by Michael H. Westbrook in 2001, offers a thorough depiction of the current status, history, and the future advancement of electric cars. The Electric and Hybrid Electric Car book analyzes slants in electric auto improvement from a global viewpoint, with numerous illustrations drawing from the creator's own encounters in American and European car commercial ventures. Starting with the experimental revelations that made electric vehicle innovation conceivable at the beginning of the 20th century, author Michael H. Westbrook
Electric cars are vehicles, which, instead of internal combustion engines, are driven by electric motors and controllers. They have proved to be a good substitute for conventional vehicles and are considered as a revolutionary innovation designed to protect the earth from the damaging effects of global warming, as they work on the electricity supplying the integrated rechargeable battery that can be easily recharged. Compared to traditional means of transport, electric vehicles seem to be more viable and environmentally friendly because they do not need oil or other fossil fuels as an energy source but the high cost of such a car and other important issues of exploitation discussed in this paper make their use very doubtful comparing to the usual cars.
Gas powered cars are one of the major causes of global warming , and air pollution. Gas powered cars are able to create a lot of carbon dioxide that harm the environment. These cars can also spill certain fluids that can harm the environment. Some of these fluids are motor-oil, gasoline and brake fluid. These fluids can harm humans as well as animals, and can pollute our water systems. Electric cars on the other hand are better for the environment. They use half the energy of a gas powered car, so they don’t cause as much pollution in the air. They also use cleaner energy; electricity, which doesn’t harm the environment as much as
We live in a society which idealises a man of big muscles, big egos and small brains. In this generation, it’s all about looks and how men portray themselves to be. We’ve moved into an era where personal qualities such as emotions and all that lovey-dovey stuff only make you feminine. Recently, while scrolling through my timeline as every bored teenager does to avoid doing work, I came across an article on the ‘pressure of masculinity our society enforced on men’. To my understanding, four out of ten males feel they lack the qualities and abilities that partners look for in a man, with 61% of all respondents agreeing that men are stereotyped in the media. We are on the verge of fictionilising the male species, and what it truly means to be
Electric vehicles should be big a consideration for the world. Our planet is suffering a lot due to climate change. It’s caused by burning fossil fuel and releasing its gas into the air and most cars today run on fossil fuel and it’s damaging our planet. Electric cars are clean energy vehicles, meaning it doesn’t damage the world. This is the main reason while society needs to consider manufacturing more electric cars and make them affordable and more well known. If a big part of the world’s population used electric cars instead of cars that runs of gas, it would be very beneficial to the world. But even with this huge benefit that
Many other people continued the development and improvement of electric automobiles and for a time electric automobiles were the preferred type of Automobile because of their quiet ride, quick start-up, and lack of pollution. In fact electric automobiles held the land speed record well into the early 1900’s. However, they began to decline in the early 1900’s because of the increased prevalence and efficiency of the internal combustion engine.
In contemporary world, the gasoline’s price has increased so much that there are less people to buy gasoline cars. Therefore, a newly developed car which use the electricity as power comes into people’s sight. There are some comparisons and similarities between the electric cars and gas cars.
Electric cars vary from the average car you see on a day-to-day basis, this specific type of car is starting to make more appearances in the world due to their efficiency to the atmosphere. What makes an electric car stand out is that they are propelled and powered by an electric motor. The way this specific type of car functions is that it uses electrical energy that is stored in rechargeable batteries either under the hood or in the truck. What makes electric cars unique is the level of silent while being driven on the road rather than your standard gasoline engines. Of course, with everything, there will be a downside to it. Recharging an electric car can take a long time, sometimes up to hours which is an enormous difference than filling

Electric cars have always been a thing of the future. The promise of a “green” mode of transportation is something that most people would love to have. Until recently, only a few manufacturers have even attempted the mass production of electric vehicles. The early attempts by General Motors (GM) in the 1990’s to mass produce electric cars mostly ended up in failure. Electric car customers were forced to deal with long re-charging times, a much lower range compared to gasoline powered cars, higher vehicle costs, and limited model styles to choose from. Though some were willing to make these sacrifices, the vast majority were not, which ultimately led to the end of electric vehicles 20 years ago.
Electric cars are better than gas cars because electric cars make less noise than gas cars when driving. The engines of electric cars make almost no noise, which the engineers have been perfecting for about 10 years now. The only sound you can hear is probably the hum of tires on the road when driving. On the other hand, the amount of noise inside a gas car can be as loud as 75-80 decibels. Electric cars are also better than gas cars because electric cars have low cost maintenance costs because electric cars do not need oil changes and it does not need oil for the engine to run.
Electric cars are becoming very popular in today’s world and are becoming more main stream. One reason for this is the need for automobiles that have a lower or a zero carbon footprint. For the majority of the history of the automobile, the propulsion system was a gas or a diesel engine that would run off of fossil fuels. The burning of fossil fuels is very hazardous to our world and also creates much toxic pollution. However, electric cars run off of electricity, which is a very clean and pollution free resource, depending on how the electricity was produced of course. In this paper we are going to examine the history of electric cars, look into modern electric car technology, and peer into the future of electric car technology to see if EVs might be the answer to dramatically reducing our global pollution.
Electric vehicles are vehicles that use one or multiple electric motors for propulsion [1]. Electric vehicles have influenced the present in
Cars are used by many people all over the world to get them from place to place. Most of these cars are powered by gasoline, some are powered by diesel, and some newly cars are powered electrically. Many people believe that electric cars can be the future of the car industry, but will most other car companies hurt from this? Electric cars use an electric motor to power the car instead of an engine, the owner of an electric car recharges the battery inside the car to power the motor. According to Tesla Motors, an electric car company, “Tesla possesses a high powered wall connector, which completely recharges the car in under 4 hours, and at max power, the high powered wall connector charges at a speed of 56 miles range per hour”(Tesla Motors “Tesla Vehicles Provide Attractive Environmental Benefits” 6). While electric cars do not have as much range as gas-powered cars, no emissions are made from the electric battery, which in result ends up benefiting to the environment.
EVs rely entirely on electricity stored inside of several large batteries for propulsion and to operate all of the components inside the vehicle. Moreover, electric cars produce minimal road noise, are extremely smooth, and provide extraordinary amounts of torque when it is needed (Berman). Also, electric cars can be recharged anywhere there are electric outlets such as in homes and apartments, whereas all gas vehicles have to travel to a filling station (Berman). Additionally, an electric vehicle is generally cheaper to operate than a petrol car since electricity is cheaper to obtain than gasoline in the vast majority of the world (Berman). Another reason to buy an electric car could be for their stunning looks. Electric cars made by Tesla and Fisker are some the most attractive cars ever created, and they contain technology that is light years beyond what is found in modern gas cars. In accordance with styling and equipment, electric cars are also exhilaratingly quick. A new sport has emerged similar to Formula One called Formula E where lightweight, powerful electric race cars speed around circuits created in major cities like London, Paris, and Beijing (Spurgeon). The cars are capable of reaching speeds of up to 140 miles per hour with the acceleration being delivered instantly upon touching the throttle (Spurgeon). Electric cars, whether
