INTRODUCTION
Animation is a process of creating an illusion of motion or movement or any change of shape of any object or body by means of rapid display of a sequence of images that were different from each other. It is a process of displaying still images. In animation, processes done by frames and in 1 sec 24 frames were cut to make an image.
The meaning of animation is to convert REAL WORLD into VIRTUAL WORLD. To animate everything (non-living thing) into virtual world. Basically to show everything real which would not be possible in real world but it would in virtual world.
Animation starts by collecting various independent pictures and putting together to form the illusion of continuous motion.

1) TRADITIONAL ANIMATION:
Also known as Hand-Written animation. Traditional or cel animation is the most popular form of animation that involves hand drawn images. It was followed in 20th century. The process started by deciding a story. The frames which were drawn by hand are basically photographs of drawing, first drawn on a paper to create an illusion of movement where each frame or drawing must be different from one another. The digital scanning has replaced the cel animation but the look is still preserved and the job of the character still remains the
As any cliché artist would say, “I started drawing a lot when I was younger;” but not me –I can’t remember when I started to enjoy the arts. I have always been driven to create and express myself. I painted scenery to calm my nerves, draw intricate objects to focus on details, and draw dynamic poses to allow development of my eye. The mountain of used sketchbooks fills its’ own bookcase, dating back to early elementary years when I would create little stories much like a comic book. Despite my deep love for the arts, I always loved animation much more. Animation is the perfect blend of drawing and creating visual aid, while elaborately designing a storyline and plot to engage the audience –animation lets the average audience member to feel
In many people’s opinions, animation means funny and humor and designed for children. The content of the animation is nothing more than fairy tales, legends, fables, etc. Animation even becomes a symbol of Disney cartoon. However, if we re-examine the animation from another point of view, we will find that it has grown out of a single commercial mode constraints. Some of the animations are complicated, obscure and abstract. Variety kinds of visual images in it stimulate the audience's optic nerves. This is the salient features of experimental animation. Experimental animation belongs to the field which between film and pure art. Innovation is the soul of it. In the production process, the
Aside from basic two dimensional art, I have always been fascinated with the unique stories told through film. The way that a picture is painted through film is something that one cannot find in just any art form. Film is unique and fascinating, so I sought to find a way to unite the two worlds of film and the 2D art that I enjoy so much. My findings were that digital animation combined the artistic style that I love and the storytelling of film in a way that intrigued me beyond any other career I had researched.
Q. 4 Identify and explain the three factors that influence the quality of digital video
Animation these days is about the bigger picture. It’s about the idea of not losing faith. It’s about how powerful a tool ‘hope’ is, and that anything is possible if you believe in it. It’s about how people are equal and they all have the same opportunities,
Animation has a variety of differences between Japanese culture and the culture of the United States. While animation is usually made for the sole purpose of entertainment for children in the United States, Japanese animation, also known as anime as it is referred to both in Japan and in the West, is a form of media that is enjoyed by people of all ages. Unlike the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and SpongeBob Square pants, both very popular American animations shows in their times, anime focuses more on drama and other non childlike qualities. The differing cultures of the United States and Japan can be considered the main factor to the huge differences in their own respected animation styles.
Animation is the technique of photographing successive drawings or the positioning of models to create illusion of movement in the movie. Animation is all around us. Animation is in our homes, schools, and workplace. Films that used animation were mainly Disney movies. Disney movies used animation in cartoons every since mid 1900s.
For longer than anyone can remember, we have created and performed stories for each other. Plays, puppet shows, and other forms of moving stories. Something to pass the time. But then there came the world of animation; pictures, presented one after another, so that it looks like a moving picture.
Animation; an art form with the ability to tell a story and convey a multitude of emotions along with information. Animation can be found almost everywhere in media from commercials, to movies, to games. Every single animation need an animator or a team of animators to create it. There are many kinds of animation: 2D, 3D, motion graphics, visual effects. Each of these categories may have multiple people working on them using their own special skills to produce the final product. The reason for researching this occupation is because of my fascination and respect for the craft. I admire the art of storytelling immensely and the creativity that goes into it.
Stop motion animation is when you take a picture of something, move it ever so slightly (depending on how smooth you want the sequence to be) then take another picture and so on and so on. The sequence of pictures will create an illusion of a moving image. When creating a stop motion animation it can either be done traditionally or a computer can be used to generate the background sets.
Animation is a quick display of a sequence of 2-D images that give the illusion of
Anime is a type of cartoon but rather, it is complex, mature, broader, and even the animation drawing is on a higher level than that of a mere cartoon. Anime, which originated in Japan, is drawn by a “Mangaka” (artist) into manga (comic) drafts. These drafts are then rearranged, colored and synchronized by a hundred of staff. After the sequencing, a “Seiyuu” (Voice Actor) will give life to the character. One second of movement needs twenty-five to thirty-five drafts of drawing. Since it originated in Japan, most of the Animes shows the culture and hidden beauty of Japan, its technological advancement, friendship, love and student’s life, the Japanese way.
An animated movie is a drawing, painted, or digitally created film that uses stop-frame cinematography to simulate movement. The best example of an animated movie is Spirited Away. This film came out in 2001 and was directed by Hayao Miyazaki. The film revolves around Chihiro, a girl who must grow up quickly and save her parents from a spirit world. The theme of the film is that there is both good and evil in the world and part of growing up is finding the line between good and evil. In almost every animated film you will find a family friend theme and a fast paced story. This is mainly because most animated films are aimed toward children and families. As a result of this, animated films usually revolve around growing up and taking responsibility, or other themes that will benefit children. Spirited Away is the best example of an animated movie because it is fast paced, has great themes, and is engaging to both children and adults. When children watch Spirited Away they will love the themes or growing up and taking responsibility and exploring the fantasy world inside the film. Adults will also
The technological factors in the animation industry are not really favorable. Though there are several supportive technologies, there is constant rapid change, resulting in quickly obsolete technologies. Consequently, keeping up with the dynamism of animation technologies becomes difficult.
It makes one think about the outcomes and the foreshadowing of the story and it raises the level of imagination by producing nearly impossible feats of courage and technology. A lot of animation has made its way to the U.S. Some shows include Speed Racer, Astro Boy, Voltron, and Robotech. These shows were ones that hold watchers' attention for about 30 minutes each day.
