Obviously a drop in Non-Productive Time (NPT) for an operation is desirable. Wells with potential for high NPT may be regarded as economically un-drillable. Case Study Analysis

Whilst the wells described in the case study employed MPD to tackle conventionally undrillable wells for operational purposes as opposed to economical motivations, it is useful to note the savings made, subsequent to the introduction of MPD techniques.
