“I Don’t want to be burned alive”: A Doctors Account of the U.S Airstrike that destroyed MSF Hospital in Afghanistan was really a shocking story. On October 3rd the United States sent an air strike to a Centre in Afghanistan. The blast from the airstrike shook the building and the ceiling collapsed. All the lights were turned off and everything was pitch black. Dr. Evangeline Cua was on duty, she said “We were like two headless chickens running into darkness” after the ceiling crashed down. After the tragedy she was working around the clock trying to save the lives of those who were caught on the cross fire. MFS gives emergency aid to people who are affected by armed conflict, epidemics, and natural disasters. The air strike was an awful incident and the Unites States is responsible for all the lives that were lost. Supposedly, the AC-130 gunship confused the hospital with a building where Taliban forces were believed to be hiding. United States called it an “avoidable mistake” but they never responded to the signal the MSF sent. This situation was so messed up because the hospital was protected under the International Humanitarian Law. During the beginning of April there was a big protest going on about violence against women. A survey from the Bangladeshi government show that 87 percent of women in a marriage experience violence. In the article Global voices spoke with the founder of Meye. Global voices asked about the rickshaw paintings event, Trisha Nashtaran says “None of us have forgotten the sexual assaults carried out against women on Pahela Baishakh last year” which is Bangala new years’ celebration. Gobal voices also questioned why did she chose rickshaw painting to present woman against violence. Trisha believes that rickshaws are an integral component of her city and the colorful images on the rickshaws reflect the social issues of her time. She hopes that one day her events become a tradition because the rickshaws show a great message for women who go through abuse. Trisha wants rickshaws to lead for a better tomorrow and wants many beautiful rickshaws done by brilliant painters. Many organizations are planning to spread their protest using her
