Yes. There was a Physics project where we must create an artifact that could fly the more distance. In my team, we created an airplane made of foam board. No one thought it would fly, but actually it flew an interesting trajectory. I really only focused on the positive critics beside the negative comments made without
In the Network Design Paper I will explain how the University has recently leased a building in Adelphi, Maryland. The measurements of the University is 240 feet long, 95 feet wide and 30 feet tall and broken down to two different floors. This University will be used for education purposes of course, the facility will be made of six instructional labs, seven offices, library, five classrooms, a student lobby and a computer lab. There will be a server room on each floor. The purpose of this paper is to explain the design of the networks in this building. The student accessed computers will be set up on a separate network than the network that they staff will be using.
Observed flight 5990 to DFW at gate B4 being worked by Piedmont agents Chelsey and Jeannette. Agents used many of the elevate behaviors before boarding by greeting customers with a smile, listening to their needs and offering customers options. Agents did not ask if they could be of further assistance. A correct Welcome announcement was made which included information for Basic Economy customers. Several minutes later an announcement was made advising customers they had to “hold off” boarding followed by an apology. Nice job! Boarding began within 10 minutes after the delayed boarding announcement. Agents followed the correct procedures when boarding an UM. The dual lane sign was positioned against the wall and was not used. The sizer was
A discrete focus of alternating colors with or without an associated-color comet-tail artifact (Figure 31) (Chen Q, Zagzebski J A., 2004).
My artifact is part of the Egyptian art during Dynasty 12 and early reign of Amenemhat I.
One notable event on Riker's Island was Northeast Airlines Flight 823. According to Correction History, “On February 1, 1957, at around 6:00 p.m. a plane of the Northeast Airlines to Miami from LaGuardia Airport crash-arrived on the penitentiary grounds on Riker's Island, a couple of minutes in the wake of taking off from the field”. In addition, “there were ninety-one travelers on the plane, of whom twenty were murdered as a result of the crash and blast” (Correction History). As indicated by Gabrielle Fonrouge (2017), According to Gabrielle Fonrouge (2017), “the Miami-bound plane crashed into a patch of trees on Rikers Island, ripping off its wings and bursting into flames less than a minute after take-off”. Detainees dashed to the plane crash to help survivors. As agreed by Lion Calandra (2017), “Rikers Assistant Deputy Warden James Harrison made the unprecedented decision to release prisoners to aid in the rescue”. (1) “Harrison gave the order to release more than 50 inmates known as “trusties” prisoners whose good behavior had earned the guards’ trust. (2) “They raced to the scene to help stunned passengers and crew” (Lion Calandra, 2017).
“RAAF (Roswell Army air field) Captures Flying Saucer on Ranch in Roswell Region”, plastered across the front on the Roswell daily record consequently sparking the racing questions about Area 51.
There was many theories behind the crash. Air Force officials said it was a crashed weather balloon. Project Mogul was one of these many theories only high branches in the government knew the purpose of Project Mogul. There is not many facts to prove the Project Mogul theory right. Redfern was meet by unnamed sources to talk about the crash. Redfern burned all documents he used. Another theory is the two UFOs crashed and one was completely destroyed while the other crash a short distance away. Another theory is it was hit by lightning and
In beginning of the story, I would say Brian was clueless. There was a secret that he was trying to find out. Then it got worse. A few hours later the pilot was having a heart attack and it was up to him to fly the plane because it was a private plane, and he was the only one on the plane. He tried to learn from the mistakes. He didn’t know what to do. Brian felt his eyes start to bum and knew that there were going to be tears.
September 11, 2001 American airlines flight 77 was in the process of boarding passengers. This flight was scheduled to leave Washington Dulles airport, in the process of boarding two of the five men were considered suspicious by a CAPPS (Computer-Assisted Passenger Prescreening System) agent. The reasons that Nawaf al Hazmi and Salem al Hazmi were subjected to extra attention by the CAPPS agent is because one of the brothers did not have any identification and he could also not speak any english. The kicker here is that the agent on duty for CAPPS found the two men to be very suspicious. Unfortunately the only consequences of the actions taken were minute because there checked bags were held off the plane until it was confirmed that the two
Although my friends assured that my design was appealing, I still doubted myself. Many of my classmates complained about how our previous class shirts looked, and I was afraid that they would say the same things about my own design. All these different opinions clashed wildly in my head. Thus, rather than being courageous and submitting my design regardless of what people may say, I didn’t function as I should have; I put sending my design off until the deadline finally passed. After the other designs were revealed and voting was over, I learned that I should be braver to stand firm for what I believe in, even if there are other opposing viewpoints. Those who did submit their design probably felt really good because they were courageous enough to take a chance instead of giving into what others’ opinions even if there was only one chosen design in the
The third artifact I chose to do was a poem with the word appreciation written down and then words branching off of each letter with the same meaning as appreciation. The words are a great attitude that people make towards each other. I chose to do this poem because it helps people understand what the words really mean and how people should appreciate the things that have going for them in their lives, also to be kind to people when they are trying to be kind to you. Peers always say, “ Treat others the way you want to be treated”. Our peers are right because how you treat others is the way they will treat and appreciate you more. It ties in with my larger theme because I’ve learned to appreciate things in life before it’s too late.
The Oxford English Dictionary defines a UFO as "An unidentified flying object; a ‘flying saucer’." The word was first used in print by Donald Keyhoe in 1953.[1]
Seventh on my list is the Tudor Star Tiger which left Santa Maria Azores Airport on January 30, 1948 with 25 passengers aboard the British Airliner. The radio operator received coordinates from the plane and it was agreed the time of arrival should be about 5 AM. The
The community depend on everyone freedom to giving up the freedom we all have that we work hard for, for the community to have us work or follow the laws we have or life we want to keep for our self. There been a lot of people that spent mostly all their freedom to have and work for the community but, not everyone should have to this like children working in factories and becoming like slaves to people who don’t pay them a lot of money for how much they are put to work and ways they live. I say no that people have to give up on their freedom to help the community out, like most kids these days don’t have to work until they 16 to get a job, where every you live at. But mostly in other countries kids have to work so they can help their parents with rent or food to eat, which gives up a lot of kids freedom these days.
The results of the survey were put analyzed and the results shown in graphs and charts displayed above. These graphs and charts were picked specifically because they stood out as significant results which may support my hypothesis. The students surveyed were mostly females with 60% of the respondents identifying as female (Chart 1). This statistic stood out because it is similar to the percentage of females in the university in 2017 which according to the WCU Office of Institutional Research is 60.3%. The percentage of male respondents in the survey however was 35% which is way below what the research office reported, at 39.7%. I must include that there were 5% of respondents who declined to answer the question about their
