Ajax Minerals Exercise and the Problems at Perrier Case Study Identify two (2) sources of resistance to change in the Ajax Minerals exercise and describe how the organization dealt with each type of resistance. In the case of the Ajax Minerals exercise, there were two critical sources of resistance: to change that would affect the organization towards the achievement of the goals and objectives. The first source of resistance to change was the concept of poorly run changes in the history of the organization. The second source of resistance to change in the history of Ajax Company included poorer management-labor relations. This was so severe that the employees or workers of the organization would become suspicious of ill motives by the management in the form of layoffs and pay-cuts that did not go well with the employees. This made the leadership of the organization to be aware of the reaction by the employees in relation to the various suspicions following previous encounters (Palmer, 2008). The management was also worried about the perspective of the union, which would have reference with reference to the plan to gain or obtain concessions in the context of the next contract talks. According to the history of the organization, workers and supervisors would just focus on the realization of minimum compliance towards the achievement of the proposed change.
