The atlatl is an ancient paleolithic tool used as a lever to lengthen the distance that a dart can be thrown, compared to using just an arm. But does an atlatl really lengthen how far a dart travels compared to throwing the dart by hand? Based on accumulated information, the hypothesis was: If an atlatl is used to throw a dart, then it will lengthen the distance that the dart will travel compared to throwing it by hand. This is because the atlatl is a lever that acts as another joint of the arm, increasing both the leverage, force, and energy of a throw. To test this, I created an atlatl using a wooden branch with a spur sticking out of it, paracord, a rock, tape, a bamboo stick, duct tape, knife, and a saw. I carved the wooden branch to
Jeff Karpell was a standout outfielder for the Fairleigh Dickinson baseball program. His freshman campaign he posted the longest hit streak by reaching base safely in seven consecutive games. Karpell also led all freshmen in hitting with a .313 batting average. Karpell really stood out as a sophomore earning All-Northeast Conference honors with a .337 average, which put him 3rd on the team and 9th in the NEC. During his senior season Karpell threw out 9 base runners, which is good enough to put him first for most single season outfield assists. Karpell’s efforts are still shown in the FDU record books where he ranks: 7th in single season hits (64), 7th in triples (4), 3rd in runs batted in (59). Along with his single season achievements Karpell is also 7th in career batting average (.343), 7th in at bats (571), 5th in hits (196), 3rd in triples (9), and 2nd in RBIs (145).
David Jon Kassan means by saying “drawing the eye without drawing the eye” that he doesn’t start drawing the eyes with lines. Instead, he starts the eye with dark shadows of the eye to set the shape of the eye. I think the process of going from basic to the specific details is an interesting way to draw the eye. Using charcoals, in general, is challenging because it’s not easy to lighten an area once the area is dark. For example, when I use charcoal I start first with the dark areas or shadows and after that, I go to the lighter area of the figure. David Kassan used a white chalk pencil that helped him with the lighter details which helped his because the pencil was not powdery so it did not smudge. I think the process worked nicely for him

Richard Kuklinski was an incredibly cold-blooded man. He had at least 100 confirmed kills, and claims to have around 200 total. Richard has a very horrible childhood. Richard liked to torture and kill animals as a little boy. His father abused him and his brothers, one of which was killed from the abuse received from Stanley. Stanley’s brother, Joseph, was pretty messed up, too. He probably would’ve turned out to be a serial killer himself. Kuklinski himself wasn’t like Ramirez or Dahmer, or any other serial killer for that matter. Kuklinski was an evil man, with a ton of interesting information about him out there.
Richard Kuklinski was a convicted murderer and contract killer who was born on April 11 in 1935. Kuklinski claims to have killed over 200 people over the course of his “career” during 1949 to 1986. At first, he would simply kill people who annoyed him, got on his nerves, or who he ‘needed’ to kill. When the mob caught wind of a man who killed as frivolously as Kuklinski, they began to hire him out as a contract killer. He lived in New Jersey and New York and committed most of his crimes in that area. In 1988, he was caught and sentenced to life in prison -- he later died in prison in March of 2006

12 days have gone by from the start of free agency and Colin Kaepernick remains unsigned. Spike Lee believes the fact that Kaepernick, who has played for the 49ers since 2011, is unsigned "smells mad fishy." There are more than a few people who believe Kaepernick’s lack of a contract is a grand NFL conspiracy and Kaepernick is being blackballed for his National Anthem protests last season. Any front-office conversation about Kaepernick must to begin with his poor play, he also showed some flashes of the player he once was last year, but nowhere near enough to override all the bad film he’s amassed in the last two seasons.
I was devastated to hear that only ten students were allowed into ENG 102 for the spring semester, but this is my opportunity to show you that I deserve to be put in ENG 102. I believe I should be one of the ten students to advance into your ENG 102 class because I think I have what it takes. I have ambitions and dreams and if I don’t graduate because of this class they will just burn to ashes in the back of my mind. Hopefully you will be persuaded by the end of this essay, and you will end up putting me in your 102 class.

In this article Michael Koziol discusses the conflict of the church when it comes to enacting legal protections for the LGBTI+ community. It particularly focuses the fact that both major political parties carry a fear of getting on the wrong side of church lobby groups and the effect that this has had the development, or lack there of, of the rights of the LGBTI+ community. He directly references times where this has been an issue for this community like the fact that the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act exempts private schools from the section on homosexuality and when this issue was brought to parliament by Alex Greenwich it had to be shelved due to the lack of support from the coalition.
